Hasbro.com has released a PDF checklist for some of 2016’s upcoming Robots In Disguise Transformers. Within this checklist we have a few brand new images of figures we have yet to see (but we have heard of them before thanks to the RID mobile game).
The images reveal Advanced One-Step Changers Optimus Prime and Strongarm, along with a new Three-Step Changer Grimlock redeco (also referred to as Stealthasaurus Grimlock in the RID mobile game).
And finally, we also have Mini-Con redecos that previously went under our radar: Stealth Anvil, Stealth Hammer and Cyclone Undertone.
Check out the images after the jump and see the full checklist right here.

That new Grimlock repaint's deco is so similar to Ransack GTS.
Spumoni Dingo
Anvil's alt mode looks like a punk Pac Man ghost and I love it.

We have no idea why RiD is getting only 2 seasons. I could be for a variety of reasons
Cartoon Network didn't want anymore
They're changing direction so that the show is connected with the movies.
They may be changing networks or perhaps going the Netflix route.
It certainly could be because of poor toy sales
Transformers series in general don't last more than 3 seasons. So two isn't that far off. It's the same as Beast Machines and more than the first RiD. Look at Animated, it seemed to be a pretty popular show with kids and adult fans, at it ended at 3 seasons, despite the creators wanting to do more.
For the most part all this is just speculation
I don't know how popular these toys are. I do know there has been several times the pegs were pretty empty, and not just at Xmas time. I've seen the pegs full of the same Generations figures for a while, I could say I guess no one wants Generations so it's time for Hasbro to not do Generations toys.
I agree that there could be a happy medium between simpler transformations and have the figures still have a decent amount of Articulation. I have no problem with the one steps as I think they're a lot of fun and I find the engineering of the figure interesting.
I look at it this way, if they didn't sell, then stores would stop ordering them. This is the second time one steps have been released (AOE and RiD). If the AOE one steps didn't sell, then why would stores buy more figures that don't sell.
During the AOE they had the Power Attackers figures, I wasn't interested in them (aside from the Bumblebee), and so I didn't pay any attention to them, I could tell they were on the pegs, but I couldn't tell which wave was there.
dCon
The minicon cyclone bird looks like the character in the new season. And cool Optimus One step. Need that for the collection along with that strong arm because I keep.passing on her. Ugh
(Yes I know its a new version)
I see the legs looking the same so thsrs what I was thinking but the pic is kinda small & blurry hmmm
New mold from the 6 pack yes. Agreed
In my area walmart that's their biggest seller so much that sometimes its hard to get new generations if they sit there too long. Generations sell just not nearly as quick (& I usually buy the whole wave leaving only a few to sit there & peg warm a few weeks) Put it this way we got the new wave with quill fire & Spring load on Friday, today both cases were down to one Bumblebee. One step and has anyone noticed how small bee and sideswipe are in that mold compared to their version one ones?
I agree bro I collect 1 steps 3 steps Legions, as well as warrior & up and I think they are all brilliant when it comes to play value. I especially love Overload and his kin icon
And yea here they sell too. Like I said above almost too well *pffft*
That toy is awesome I'm right there with ya brother! I wonder if folks here even know husai designed the 3 steps that's why the look fantastic. I remember you from back in the day when we IM'd each other something tells me you do know but a lot of others here that just bash the toy. If they could find the awesome out of it by holding it.
Those were awesome but I think its all about the different ways they transform so it looks like A transformation but in one spring loaded step. Some are just pulleys though so its not always the same they switch it up. But I d like those basic beast wars figures
megatroptimus
That's because the beast and robot modes were nearly identical. It mostly was a head reveal. Modern 1-step changers are much more intricate transformation-wise.

Hah I think you're onto something there
SG Roadbuster
Hasbro has gotten One-step transformers right before. they were called Beast Wars Basics. spring assisted, one step conversion (maybe 2 if you had to flip a foot out or detatch a weapon) and they had ARTICULATION.
megatroptimus
Good articulation? It's identical to that of one-step changers: arms that move up and down and that's it.
My son is 5 and doesn't care for articulation at all, whether it's for Transformers or Power Rangers Zords and Megazords. Arms moving up and down is enough for him. Just like he doesn't care if he can or not open the doors and hood on his little Hot Wheels.
megatroptimus
It's actually a pretty good toy, the asymmetrical transformation is pretty neat.

They hollow out your deluxes to make these!
Where's this coming from?
Anecdotal evidence?
Cause I have that, too: I have never seen any kid in that section EVER. Maybe a few seconds? They're usually on their way to Minecraft, TMNT, SW, or literally anything else.
If "they move pretty quickly", then stores like Walmart would have barren shelves – as they do with deluxes, quite often. No, the 1-steps never really move, from what I've seen. Maybe a few casual purchases, but the fact that RID is getting cancelled after a measly TWO seasons should tell you how popular the brand/toys are with kids right now.
I think you (AND HASBRO) are dead-on about the quick-transform gimmick… but the execution blows. My son definitely likes quick conversion, but also loathes the simplicity of the 1-steps. They don't articulate well, and he notices (even at age 4). So what do you do?
You know what my 4 year old REALLY likes? G1 toys – they were simple to change, good articulation, durable, etc. Well, maybe not durable (depending on the toy), but that's the solution to all of this – go back and go simple.
The springloaded gimmickry of the 1-steps? Awful. Even the minicons suffer from the gimmick, making them more figurines than figures.
I love hearing anecdotes about how nice these toys are, but… I really think it's too isolated to produce so many of these toys. This is more likely Hasbro throwing out a ton of darts and praying that some of them hit kids. Cause interest in these (if it exists) is sparse and isolated, non-reoccurring, and these toys pile up EVERYWHERE I go.
You guys might be right about their popularity, but I just can't see it. You would think I'd see hints of success (i.e. kids excitedly hovering and trying to decide which one to buy!), but I don't see any of that. More likely, it's a bunch of G1-parents buying these for their kids… and if so, SHAME ON YOU. Hasbro can do better. Stop supporting this dreck!

I have a little of all the RiD, some regular deluxes, a few one-step and a couple 3 step. I think they're all fun. My son plays with them all the time. Things I've noticed while watching him play is he doesn't play with the regular releases as much. He can transform them without struggle. I asked him, why he doesn't use the other figures as much and he said he likes to "transform them quick because he doesn't want to keep the other side waiting".
I see the newer waves of 1 steps on the shelves around my area, which tells me they do sell.
Powerglide1991
These "Stupid One Steps" aren't entirely stupid.
I have never seen them shelf warm and they always seem to move pretty quickly.
Kids love them, and that's all Hasbro cares about.
The 3 step changers however were not such a good idea…
Powerglide1991
Stealthasaurus Grimlock…
Fucking Brilliant, shame he isn't a fully black and gold deco, that would of been great.
l0te
New armored minicons is nice.
Chronix
Just more plastic that could've been used for good products
Rodimus Prime
So, how is just redecoing the heck out of the line working for Hasbro? I'm not being snarky here, I've just noticed there's a LOT fewer characters this time around. Not even repaints as new characters. Is it making them more money?
calvin0
more stupid one step….
2ndSndWve
"Stealthasaurus" is my new favorite fake dinosaur name .
Jalaguy
Yup, though this looks to be a new mould.
WishfulThinking
Wasn't the Optimus 1-step previously only available in the target gift-set?
