Toys R Us Japan have added a page for the Japanese market release of Clash of the Transformers Megatronus. A Toys R Us exclusive worldwide, this version of Megatronus features the battlemask version of Megatronus’ head, which he sports when he first appears in the latter episodes of the first season of Robots in Disguise.
From the images on the listing, it would appear that this is a “USA edition” type release, that is, Toys R Us Japan are releasing something which for all intents and purposes is the same as what Toys R Us USA offered for their exclusive. We will of course update if there are in fact any differences between the two releases.

They probably will at some point. That giant Megatronus is just ripped for the Takara retooling.

I'm just hoping Takara does a Megatronus that's Leader Class to go with their TAV Optimus. It'll look ridiculous if he's a Deluxe or Voyager up against ..that.

Wow.

That's quite the first post you've got there after you've joined this site 5 years ago.

Yes…

I was hoping that this would've been a mass retail release. Damnit.

The only changes look to be the TAV sticker, better blue paint, and some purple on the grey squares next to the shoulders.

The non-exclusive standard face version is currently available online only, expected due out at brick and mortar retail soon.
It is available at retail in Australia already:
Transformers Robot in Disguise Warrior Class Fracture and Megatronus Found in Australia – Transformer World 2005 – TFW2005.COM
New RID preorders at ToyWiz – Transformer World 2005 – TFW2005.COM
TCJJ
Has anyone actually got the non-retailer-exclusive version with the regular face yet? We seem to only see this masked version all the time.

Based on past trend, probably a Japanese market release of the same toy that is already out in the US with the faceplate head.
