Another one bites the dust. Following the closure of DeNA‘s Transformers: Legends and Transformers: Age Of Extinction mobile games back in September, Transformers: Rising mobile game will also cease all operation by the end of November this year.
The announcement which was made on the official Facebook Page was quickly taken down for unknown reasons. However, a Facebook Fan Page run by a group of dedicated fans of the game was quick enough to spot and take a screenshot of the announcement.
After the sunset of Transformers: Rising, Transformers: Battle Tactics will become the only remaining DeNA Transformers mobile game. However, another DeNA game titled Transformers: Frontiers is on Open Beta.

Good gravy, they are much worse. Not even in the same ballpark.
Deadboy
Me too. I played Legends for a couple of weeks before moving on, due to shallow gameplay and over-reliance on Pay-To-Win tactics. The sooner DeNA goes away the sooner the Transformers license may go to someone who gives a shit about it rather than treating the games as essentially a con job.
Rodimus Prime
Interesting. Got a link?
I wouldn't be surprised if SE would team up with such a company, but Nintendo is very protective of their name, so if they are that bad, I find it surprising.
Also, I don't know what I'm talking about, but DeNa is worse than Konami, EA, Activision, etc? Okay.
maxxzander
serve them right for being greedy corporation..i guess people finally woke up and realize they aint gonna pay for their stupid in app level up purchase anymore!! in ur face DeNa!
deathsheadx
the english version only lasted eight months.
TCJJ
I don't even know why they bother.
These games are all free-to-play crap of abysmal quality.
And yet, they just keep churning out more whilst shutting down the old ones.
Then again, DeNA only makes shitty games. Even their best games are still mediocre.
SouthtownKid
I will be happy when it is announced DeNA is getting sunsetted.
Autobot Aaron
I can't believe DeNA has to make awesome games and then shut them down! I really miss playing legends now! That was so awesome. I'm not too fussed that they're shutting down the tf4 game, but I hope they keep TF Tactics. I hope RID 2015 's game will shut down too.
raptor22
Is it really that hard to see that Mobage and Transformers is a STUPID COMBINATION!?!?!
deathsheadx
F@*# this was the only game I actually invested money into and played regularly.
whitewolfe313
these games die because they are too greedy. The games cost a ton to stay competitive. If they would make the price of packs reasonable the player base would stay and they would have a profit for a long time.
I have a feeling that the model for these games is: Open, hit hard, generate as much profit in a short time as possible and move on to next game for another quick cash influx.
SouthtownKid
You really don't know what you're talking about. Anybody will team with anybody to make $$$. And DeNA dominates the mobile market in Japan with FTP shovelware, where they get in, fleece a bunch of weak-willed credit card holders, then shut down and move on to the next group of suckers, putting the bare minimum of effort into their "games", riddled with bugs and lacking in actual gameplay. DeNA is the Gordon Gekko of mobile game developers.
I have never, in all my years playing video games, seen a developer with such complete contempt for their user base.
Underlord
I only played that game for about six weeks before realising it was a waste of time. I went all out to get dragstrip (without paying) and got him, only to find out it was a weak card in future events! So I do empathise with what you've just said.
T-Hybrid
Did you play Transformers Legends? It was a nightmare. They broke their own game in an update midway through last year and never bothered trying to fix it afterwards.
I wrote up a post-mortem over on a fan forum, I really don't want to relive it. Because that came wasted a lot of time over an extended period of my life and I regret every second of it.
Rodimus Prime
I doubt this is true, because otherwise companies like Nintendo and Square-Enix would work with them. Although I generally dislike FTP, it seems unfair to blame it solely on the company when it seems successful with other IPs.
SouthtownKid
No relation. Different developers. And it doesn't stink. Another Mobage game closing up is good for gamers and good for Transformers fans.
T-Hybrid
Transformers Rising launched in China in 2014 and was only brought stateside due to efforts by fans to help translate it for DeNA.
Transformers Legends came out in December of 2012 and was sunset in the past few months (though they ran their last original event back in February or March.
It's mostly on Mobage. They get in, milk the whales, and bail as soon as the cost of support outstrips the income.
Autovolt 127
Well that was…..quick.
SelectedLime375
This is what I am wondering. As far as I know, it wasn't, which stinks because I was looking forward to it.
Underlord
Was this released outside of Asia? Shows how much attention I've been paying
