Via Toywiz again, we have a look at the official in-package image for the Combiner Wars Leader Skywarp. Skywarp’s boxed image also gives us a look at the finished toy which we’ll be putting on our shelves – and notably, there’s a fair bit of purple on the chest around the fake cockpit chest. It’s not clear if this is a paint app missing on the boxed sample which was photographed for the official photos, or if this will also be missing on the final release, though samples on display at Botcon also had this purple chest. Once we get some in-hand images of Skywarp himself, we’ll know for sure. For now, check out the boxed image attached to this post.
Knightsword
The purple on the chest is likely based on the Generations FoC Skywarp.

Woo-Hoo! People who agree with me that the Leader-Class Seekers are superior! Thank you!
Johntimus Prime
I guess the Leader Seekers are neat if you really want them, but meeeeh. Just not my thing.
That, and I always have to complete Seeker trios when it's viable, and I'm not jumping to drop $130 on three of the same Leader toys with different paint jobs.
wearelegion69
Out of scale with who? As leaders, they are out of scale with every single generations toys aside from leader megatron. As Voyagers, they would be pretty good with the other classics toys, like Optimus, the insecticons and the individual combiner components.
Chronix
The one thing I dislike that I haven't already said about the mold itself is the random purple chest. If I get Thundercracker I'll definitely be buying him too anyway.
And for all those complaining that they're not voyagers – what? If they were voyagers they would be out of scale.
slochmoeller
As a proud owner of Starscream and Thundercracker, the scale seems to just work in the world of combiner wars figures. Starscream is as big as Megatron, and bigger than Prime but not so much bigger that they look wrong next too each other. I've been wanting some bigger seekers for a while now and while I would have said "voyager" some time ago these leaders are really scratching the itch. I love messing with Starscream and Thundercracker durned pretty. If I have the money, I may just get that Sky Warp and Finish off the core seeker trio and hope Hasbro doesn't do anything crazy from there!
Venixion
I love him! I'd get him if I didn't already have a Skywarp.bi hope we get the Rainmakers soon. My Acid Storm needs his teammates.

Ok, so I initially hated the idea of these guys being leader class myself, but I have the iGear Raptors so Voyager is covered. These guys being leader class now works for me because I reasoned that they are supposed to be big. They're fighter jets and although Jetfire is supposed to be bigger, I have been thinking on story ideas that can explain this. Starscream (along with the rest of the seekers following suit), decided that in order to beat Jetfire, he would scan a larger alt mode similar to Jetfire's. Easy peasy… I think they look good and from a fan fiction perspective, work for me. This is also in consideration of some of the really tiny 1st party figures we have gotten in the not to distant past.

i still want Voyager Seekers, especially cuz i find this mold a tad lacking (weapons suck, don't like the thrust nozzles behind the head, lack of wing decals), but i do like that we are going to have the "big 5" 'cons from 1984 all at a consistent scale for the first time since then once TR Soundwave comes out.
dsprks75
Plus the size just makes sense… Think about the 1984 line up… You had 3 jets to 11 cars. Given the size of an F-15 Eagle vs a Datsun… It would take like 2-3 Datsuns to subdue something that size…
Like Snake Eyes said, the bad guys are supposed to be bigger, tougher…
Afterburner
They all look exceptionally plain in robot mode. That combined with the strange color choices on Skywarp here that ruin the congruence of the set, and I'm still waiting to see what if anything TakaraTomy does with them. It will need to be way better than this effort considering this is still just Jetfire cosplaying as Starscream and friends for no apparent reason other than they had run out of ideas that day.
snoopcow
will be getting him to stand in for mp11 – SW, because i could not justify the price for that
MartyFeeb
Definitely most underrated toy of 2015! It's because CHUG collectors assume it's too big, and MP collectors already have MP versions of these, but… they look REALLY GOOD with CHUG cars. The scale makes sense. Put a car next to one of these jets, and you come to the awful realization that the deluxe Seekers look ridiculously small.

I legitimately haven't seen Leader Thundercracker in store either (same for Magnus). I got both off of Amazon since they were on sale though.
I like this Skywarp and while I'm not a fan of the mold I do still want these guys as they make the mold ore appealing to me. Unfortunately it feels like the stores in my area don't want to carry Leader class assortments at all or they haven't gotten any past Megatron (for months now even the G1 Megatrons have seen long shelf lives.)
Snake_eyes1975
I get that some want voyagers… And I USED to be a naysayer of leader seekers.
Now.. Piss on that.. They have done voyager seekers forever. This is nice. If you guys haven't handled one of these yet, you don't know what your missing. They feel way better than jetfire and I've that one.
Plus on the scale side.. They look near perfect by the cars, constructicons, prime and almost every thing from CW says the Arielbots.
I love how the bots are bigger.. The cons should be bigger and tougher..
I think the leader seekers are the most underrated TF toy in 2015

I'm guessing end of November for this guy?

And Reprolabels.

These things need the 3rd party treatment, with new heads and hands if possible

Starscream mold is the king of repaint/remold since G1.
