Loving the game although i felt the first levels were a bit repetitive, in enemies and the environment itself.

I want to like parts of it more, but I thinking still stuck on the learning curve. In any case, I'm totally hooked due to the odd but compulsive loot system.

I feel like anywhere from 7 to 7.9 is a fair score for this game, factoring in people's divergent tastes and that this sort of mechanics-heavy (over quantity of content) design isn't for everyone. These days anything under an 8 is perceived as somehow mediocre when in reality it's well above average. 50% IS still average on a 100%/10 point point scale, psychological review inflation be damned.
If you're someone who loves Platinum's approach to game design and weapon grinding in games (as I do) then it goes from a 7+ to an 8 or even 9+ depending upon taste imho.

Creeping back up to a 77 now:
Transformers: Devastation for PlayStation 4 Reviews – Metacritic

I'm certainly enjoying my copy. I wasn't sure what to expect going in, but I appreciate the variety they'e added to the gameplay (the bridge shoot-em-up with Blitzwing was a highlight).
Worth the money? For me, yes

I watched Angry Joe have fun with this on saturday. I think i'd have fun with it too. I might pick it up on steam when it is on sale at some point.
yea; lol i almost forgot, games used to be about single player…
although, i am surprised it isn't coop up to 5 players. it seems that it'd be an obvious thing.
but i do not really care too much about mulitiplayer options in games anymore. they are all terrible now anyways.
i am going to assume you didn't watch that review before you posted it. claiming how much it sucks. because this is a very positive review.
i hope there will be more characters, and possible expansions later on. i do not really care about skins though. i'll never buy them.
yea, Bruticus looking really stupid. lol i liked both games, but i never liked the designs for either game. plus that game really screwed over PCers.
the only problem i have with the devastator battle, is after playing for months, Dragon's Dogma, i just wish i could climb up devastator, and whack him in the face… i need more of that mechanic in games. it just needs to be in every game ever now.
yes. because they fit in so well with the light hearted, insane nature of the g1 cartoon.

Got this game last weekend. Bought the Xbox 360 version which is somehow half price here compared to the next gen console versions – but it seems to run just as smoothly and solidly. Guess the characters are a bit more pixely when you sit close to the tv?
Anyway…wasn't expecting too much of this game but I find myself enjoying it A LOT more than I thought it would. Not nearly as epic as the High Moon games in terms of presentation, but the combat is rock solid! Next to that, the weak plot gets saved by some very decent voice acting for most of the characters. Teletraan-1 and Soundwave sound very uninspired, but guys like Megatron and Prime just sound excellent.
And it has some Vince DiCola/Kenny Meriedeth music! This was my biggest worry, that they'd pass over Vince. Even though he was asked late in the game there's some awesome music in there – and some of the music that I *think* is from a different composer doesn't sound super generic cheesy Japanese rocky, thankfully (making it easier to forgive the couple that do).
All this sums up to a very enjoyable game.

Sweet! Happy to be of service. With lock-on enabled, ranged combat is super fluid in this game despite its frenetic pace imho. Tip: if you get a high quality sniper rifle, use it. They're practically overpowered! They lock and kill most enemies with one or two shots. Best long range weapon you can get, imo, until the gatling rocket launchers. > : D

Well, this is not my day. I just received the game, a weekend later, and it doesnt come with that DLC. I preordered the game in summer…
I love when companies do this, all the "preordered dlcs" from my PS4 always are somewhere but not in my game…

Thanks a lot! It works!! I have finished fired all my bullets on those seekers in one shot!
Really appreciate your help on this! Keep it up!

I just bought this for my 8 year old son. He will love it. No worries. Maybe I'll play too.

Got my 3 year old boy and 5 year old girl into playing this game. Transfans like Daddy.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Okay, good job people. Best comment 2015
Also i love the hate because of Megatron being a tank. I recommend this people to start thinking about game mechanics, level and chara design.
Even if im studying/working on this things, Im not the one who is going to tell them what to think, but jokes apart, sometimes you have to understand why a handgun is a trouble for a Transformers videogame

Let people stick to their opinions and stop pretending you know better than them. Please.

Finally received a response.
Firing when aiming is mapped to the middle mouse button by default, or the clickable scroll wheel. If you don't have a middle mouse button or clickable scroll wheel, then you have to remap the keybinding to another key on your kb (or controller if you use one.)
I hope this helps. I'll PM you as well in case you don't see this.

Trying to find the answer to this query for you. I've asked in several places. If someone answers on Steam or elsewhere, I'll PM you or reply here with it.

Seriously, no one is playing using PC. Guess I am the only poor guy trying to figure out how to shoot the bullet out at seeker

My 10 year old nephew got the game over fall break, I wanted to buy it for him….. beat me to it. Dang.

Just beat the game. If you're having trouble:
1) Make sure you use the items they provide, particularly the power and defense enhancer. I spent the first 1/3 of the game ignoring these completely, even the health packs. Didn't even know how to access them. Start every/most boss battles with a power and defense boost. This actually makes them quite easy on the default difficulty. The game gives you plenty of these items.
2) Enhance your weapons to the max. Pay attention to the abilities on each, and realize that when synthing you can remove bad abilities if you end up decreasing slots or if the total # of abilities between the two weapons exceeds the slots on the new item.
3) Have Wheeljack create some mods for you as well.
4) Change up your tactics in fights. Range might be good in one fight, brawling in another. Guy wants to stand on the other side of the battlefield? Shoot him.
5) I think the sniper rifle is a bit overpowered. Use it. Use the target button to pull up your reticle, which will snap you to a target. Fire, release targeting button, then rinse and repeat. Works especially well with #1 above.

LOL,
Yeah my only gripe with games like this, (with that old school Boss battle feel) is that I know after I spend upwards to an hour, sometimes two trying to beat a Boss….there's going to be an even harder one shortly thereafter.
Otherwise, I'm definitely enjoying the game.
It's refreshing to be challenged actually….and not just autopilot my way through some single player shooting campaign.
