Good news for fans of Combiner Wars, we’ve just received in-package images of the deluxe Combiner Wars Combaticons with the Canadian/Latin American packaging. This set of images features Brawl, Blast Off, Swindle, and Vortex sans the comic book that comes with the US samples. Instead, this packaging has some really nice art backing the figure.
Check out the new set of images after the jump and keep an eye out for preorders!

Ehh…
The only combiner I really wanted from this line, but I'll rather wait to see what Takara does with their version.
I don't even require Blast-Off being a shuttle, just give him a proper head…

I cant get behind vortex or blast off, too bad but money saved. Spend that on fanstoys sludge instead

TakaTom it shall be.
I want a shuttle as Blast Off…
Plus, I'm not sold on Hasbro's colors for these guys.

Photos from the BBTS preorders added to the first post.

My bad, I recalled from my memories, you are correct I think? He was a Flying Fortress if i'm correct.
Tbh I would LOVE to see those exact vehicles as combaticons also some day. Each of those initial alt modes!
Though that would mean Swindle remains the same more or less A Jeep. Just the others will be a Mitsubishi Zero, Flying Fortress, Truck-tailgate and a Sherman/Patton tank.
Hopelessly out of scale but heck so is a chopper with a jeep in the current configuration. Ever seen a chopper? It dwarfs a jeep. Yet Swindle is a jeep,Vortex a Chopper. Then "due to scale "laughing hard"" Blast-Off cant be a shuttle?
It is just a good excuse for Blast-Off getting a "exclusive" Shuttle mode.
The complaint on my side is not adding the jet, I can live with that. Just that it is named blast-Off. Should have had another figure, call it nitpicking but hey we got 2 figures for Wildrider. Offroad and "break-Neck". The latter being the Wildrider, due to name rights not available with the right name. Still the alt modes color schemes are spot on Wildrider both figures. Same could have been done for this "Blast-Off".
And it will give me another badly needed decepticon for Galvatronus who still does not have 4 sweeps to combine with!

These look pretty cool so far. Vortex looks really sweet.

vortex didnt come from a busted chopper. he came from a plane.

the only thing killing me about this team is blast off.I'm thinking about waiting and see if takara will give us a real blast off and if they do get the Japanese version instead
Oshboggy
Hmm. The legs are pretty much CW par-for-the-course hollow; I've learned to live with that. It's just the way the line is :/
Point taken about the arms. I guess it's the exposed ball joint that's the problem? Perhaps painting them a darker colour might make them less obvious.
Maybe the crappiness of Blast Off and Vortex is making everybody else look relatively aces to me

Hasbro Studios: It wasn't NASA's fault the Challenger went down, dear me no. It was…(gasp)… THE EVIL DECEPTICONS!!!
YoungPrime
Agreed!

Wait till some fans get a hold of brawl to judge. Hasbro does not know how to pose their own figures
YoungPrime
It reminds me of this horrid looking figure:
The arms and legs just look cheap and lazy. It's not enough to put me off buying the figure, he's just the weakest of this group unfortunately.

I do not think a comparison is fair. And I doubt there is.
Hasbro releases worldwide, yet Japan stays indoors mostly and those sold out of country are exclusives and internet sales. By no means will Takara tip to the sales from Hasbro's network.
That does not say Takara is a lesser company or anything, just that for their toyline they let Hasbro deal with that. And basically Hasbro seems to decide colors and how much money is put in their line for decoration.
Takara really goes overboard on its figures when it comes to their wishes. If they want G1 accurate it = G1. And if they want red paint on green it is red. Not red with green bleeding through it like with Hasbro > see hoist generations for more info.
Thats all it is basically. You get more care on your toy from Takara. Also the boxes are way more made for reuse when takara. Double clamp for instance instead of wires on 1 clamp to hold your figure.

He'd just join Off-road on my shelf with the TFCC 4.0 figs and other Mayhem-ish guys- he can be Needlenose's whiny little brother that always wished he was a Combaticon or something dumb like that.

THIS. I'd be prefectly happy if hasbro does an "online exclusive only" correct-body TT Deluxe Groove and Blast Off with wonky names. They can call them "Beavis and Butthead" for all I care. It's not like TF toys typically have the names tatoo'd on them. To me thye special version would be my Blast Off, and the lazy Quickslinger repaint will be "Nemesis Quickslinger"….. or something. Whatever. Hasbro! Gimmie mah new molds!! Git in mah collection!

There are no sales figures per say but hasbro will always sell more than takara since Takara does limited runs since they only distribute to one country while Hasbro distributes to the entire world. Takara products also do not get weekly/monthly restocks at retail so if you can't find a Superion in Japan at a primary retailer then the toy is sold out.
So in the end, Hasbro will always sell more toys than Takara simply because they sell to many more countries and many more people.
