Thanks to site sponsor TFsource, we’ve just received our first color images of Warbotron’s WB-03F, a model kit type figure paying homage to Grimlock. This figure will be roughly Legends Class size after you assemble it.
Paired with the WB03 Warbotron combiner (an homage to Computron), this figure is set to release in October and can be preordered now at several of our site sponsors.
Check out the new images after the jump.

I have an OSKO of this as my CHUG Grimlock.
I freaking love it.
I just wish the other Dinobots were made in this style

@amd098 Could you provide a link to the clear version? I’d like one in my life.

Okay, this is a long shot, but…….
I just bought one of these pre-built off ebay (they even applied an autobot decal to his chest). Love it.
The baggie that had his weapons in it also had one extra screw.
However, when transforming him, I noticed that he was missing screws in each legs… the ones that connect his lower leg to the upper thigh through the knee joint.
Luckily, in either mode a flap is closed over this joint that connects it, so things are stable, however actually transforming him is a bit of a bummer, as things fall apart during the process.
So, if anyone has any extra screws in storage from when they built theirs, OR if they have a broken figure they'd be willing to remove some screws from and send them to me, I would greatly appreciate it.
Alternatively, if anyone knows what kind of store (online or brick&mortar) I might go to to find these screws, that would be great to know too.

Hey Ubik,
Just checked-both arm joints seem to be the same, get back to me when you can.

Hey Ubik-this is a crazy coincidence-my 8 year old son snapped Grimlock's right shoulder this afternoon while transforming him, after playing with it for over a year. Would you be willing to part with the right arm joint?(If that's the one that is not broken) Let me know what you would want for it.

Picked up one of these today. What a hot turd. Nothing went together and arm snapped off transforming. View attachment 27830418

Would anyone be interested in painting one of these up for me or selling an already painted one? I'm lazy and bad/inexperienced at painting.
DM me with I guess like a price quote and an example of something you've painted, if anyone's offering.

how much are these? did u use ebay or?

Thanks cha chi. The way I went about fixing the right fist. First cut a pieces from the Sprue tree.
I then used a small drill bit and sand/file it down. Just need enough of it to be jammed into the right wrist. I also took the time to spray paint them claw parts. The bottom of the claws still isn't as good as I like them to be.
In this picture, you can see that I can now fasten a screw to the fist.
Did some touch up work on it. Pretty much done for now.

Nice like how crisp your gold looks. Maybe try a lollipop stick for the fist fix.

Put mine together last night with my daughter. She's only 4 but she had a blast helping find parts, cutting them from the sprues and putting some of them together. Anyway, the build was really fun. There were a couple parts I had to shave down with an Xacto in order for them to fit (like one of the hand posts) but that's generally a normal thing with kits.
It's a fantastic toy when completed. Feels very high quality and robust. Not sure if I'll paint it yet as I kind of like how he looks without any.

Some quick shots. Can't use imgur so these are from photobucket. Hopefully it's works.
Still need a little touch up, see the back claws and underneath the claws aren't painted. Step 1 of the instruction, I already messed up. The fist just wouldn't slide down the shaft and I ended up breaking it. Luckily there was still enough of a nub for me to plug the fist onto it. But because that part is broken, I can't fasten it with the screw. So now I am probably gonna fix it by looking for a thick enough pin or maybe a nail. I will come up with something.
Last picture for now.
Only tip I can offer, try to sand down parts prior to snapping them together. Fit is extremely tight.

Looks like there is a Megatron done in the same style to go with Gravity Builder. That one I'm going to need.

I like to see the pictures but tfw2005 is banned by imgur or something so these images don't show up. I am in the process of painting mine. Should be assembling it tonight.

we also had the dmk figures [movie123 bb/optimus and aoe optimus]. the kabaya ones were made of this odd waxy plastic though and it feels odd to handle, they were also very simplified

Okay, here's one of the ones I got, and I decided to show off what I did.
Overall, I wanted to give him a worn/tarnished look, mostly on the metal/silver parts. I laid down a flat gray first, then did a mottled/dabbing and light brushing with a silver chrome paint. I painted the yellow parts gold, and I painted his leg panels blue/red/green. And I painted the red parts with a brighter red than what the plastic is. The black plastic was painted over with a "metal" flaked paint.
On the sword, I gave it a yellow center with a "flame" effect.
Here he is with his gun.
Dino mode!
Rear view of the dinosaur.
Another thing I did was apply scratches on his clear plastic chest plate to make it look "scarred". Overall, I had fun customizing him, and plan to do something else with my other kit, hopefully I'll be able to show it.

While I love my Warbotron Bruticus, and would like to see them continue with combiners (would kill for their take on Stunticons) I would also really enjoy a DIY line from these guys.
I had a real blast building Shockwave, and I'm looking forward to Grimlock here.

It's like I said in an earlier post, combiners are starting to fade as a viable niche needing to be filled. I dunno if Warbotron plans to do another combiner, but if not, they could totally do an entire line of these model kits. I'd love the rest of the Dinobots, especially since this Grimlock fits perfectly into the Legends scale.
And $30 is much easier on the wallet than the full-sized 3Ps.
