From the Facebook page of Unicron Nemesis comes our look at Mastermind Creations’ first dip into the world of Masterpiece-Inspired 3rd party figures – Ocular Max-01 Sphinx. This figure takes it’s cues from our beloved Generation 1 character, Mirage. Shown here is Sphinx in vehicle mode layed out with the included accessories. Also shown is Mastermind Creations’ packaging for the figure, which just like Masterminds’ previous packaging, is impressive looking on it’s own.
You can check out both images after the break.

If anyone interested in the parachute that come with the original release, please message me.

Marlboro threatened legal action, and the set was dropped. PM is very protective of their brand. That is the short version. It actually went through a few attempted compromises, but PM wouldn't budge.
I have the decal set that you linked. Unfortunately, they aren't pre-cut, and I just never had the drive (or skill with an X-acto blade) to put in the effort.
Thanks though.

There used to be a Marlboor conversion set that you could purchase and apply to a g1 figure back in the day. It wasn't up long and they pulled it due to something regarding the Marlboro brand.
Either they didn't want to be associated or there was some kind of contact from P&M, can't specifically remember the details.
I'll have to try and find my custom that uses the set. Also purchased a repro head and blue windshield from Transrepro back in the day.
Eness detail decals for MP23 Exhaust,In stock!
Picked that set up years ago and it is an outstanding set. First time applying dry transfers and they worked perfectly. Really makes the figure pop.

I would love a set for Exhaust, with Marlboro labels. Unfortunately, MP-23 didn't get a US release. So making a set wouldn't be profitable for Toyhax.

Probably true. I wouldn’t really want a tobacco label on my figure regardless, even though I generally appreciate accuracy with respect to the racing livery. Moreover, I don’t like labels that take up a lot of real estate on my figures. Individual numbers, stripes, or letters are fine, but stickers that cover entire panels don’t look good, in my opinion.

I don't think Reprolabels care about trademarks. I have seen them use everything from the Red Cross to Goodyear.
I wonder if they would be brave enough to use the NASA logo (that is a Federal crime in the US)

Love the Repros on him

I wonder if I can turn that C into a G without completely ruining it…
I love how you can change the position of the rear wheels so they sit further back and stick out less. I love how soft the tires are, I'm a sucker for rubber TF tires.

Gitanes is a registered trademark of a cigarette manufacturer. I would avoid that like the plague. Besides, the original toy used “Citanes”, so it seems more fitting.

Just got this guy, love the accurate alt mode, based on real race cars like MP Wheeljack, TnR Hova/Jazz, and MP Smokescreen.
The Reprolabels are on their way, but I'm surprised they don't include the accurate Gitanes (with a G) name on the side.
CZ Hazard
Does anyone have a photo of the underside of Sphinx in alt mode (any version) please?
I've transformed one and it feels a bit wider at the front where the robot shoulders sit and I'm wondering if I've got something lined up wrong.
Many thanks.

Still my favorite “MP” Mirage.

That alt mode still looks hot.
That said, I've punted mine over to my Diaclone shelf. I think the robot mode fits in better there.
MacrossA
I've bought quite a few
Sammael
Pretty good, I still haven't bought a single 3rd party MP figure.
Brum Bot
Not well – especially when I managed to pick this up at a bargain price.

Sorry for the bump, but I just had to ask…

How's your patience holding up?

All the KO companies out there and we can't get one of them to make figure in clear plastic for us.
