Giant Robot Comics based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, are going to be offering a cool new exclusive Transformers comic cover. This exclusive variant cover for More than Meets the Eye 45 features art by Casey Coller and colors by Jean-Paul Bove, and depicts a battle between the Autobots and Decepticons at Peggy’s Cove in Nova Scotia, near to where Giant Robot Comics are based.
It’s a cool cover with a healthy dose of retro-Generation 1 cartoon love – check out the full version on Giant Robot Comics’ Twitter feed, or by clicking the “read more” link below.

Actually I'm probably wrong – I think it's already been deemed that next year's titan will be a retool of Metroplex as Fortress Maximus, with double-headmasters. Maybe OS in 2017.

A new omega would be AWESOME!! But I am also still happy with my yots Omega in the meantime.

The return of DULL SURPRISE !

I don't see how that's supposed to be any indication of a new OS.

Putting an Omega Supreme on the cover of a comic? Yeah, this time next year we'll have a new Omega Supreme. Natural fit after Devastator after all, and releasing one titan per summer has been working pretty well.

While I agree with you that the picture seems off, the missile is from Wheeljack and Megatron is supposed to be in the foreground, hence Onslaughts arm being behind his leg.
I agree in that the colouring probably doesn't help but not entirely to blame.

This cover looks messed up. Too cluttered, not enough separation?
For example, why is Omega Supreme firing some off missile in a weird angle? Why is Onslaught's arm stuck in Megatron's leg?
I like the intention, but I feel like the execution comes off sloppy and needs a little extra work. Maybe a darker background or foreground to help separate things?

Giant Robot is a great shop in Dartmouth.
This is one of many Halifax covers in recent years. I'm not fond of exclusive covers but I'm glad Nova Scotia is getting some love.

Cool image, I love G1 battle scenes! I'd like more posters made of art like this; I miss G1 box-art. This comic cover is really good, if a little de-saturated, but it makes a good desktop screen image.

When I see a cool Transformers drawing like this I usually try to envision who would win the battle. I think the Autobots would have a tough time here.
6 characters for each side. Going by obvious matchups, and also going from top to the bottom of the picture:
– Omega Supreme vs. Devastator = a wash, whoever wins should be damaged badly and unable to do a lot more.
– Optimus Prime vs. Megatron = a wash, again whoever wins will be too badly damaged to do much more.
– Wheeljack vs. Soundwave = Soundwave would probably win this one, based on his G1 tech specs and comic representations where he ended up being the Decepticon commander at some point. Wheeljack probably scores some hits, but I think Soundwave comes out on top.
– Bumblebee vs. Frenzy/Rumble = probably a wash. Going by the G1 cartoon representations, Rumble would likely win. Going by the different comics interpretations, Bumblebee may pull it out.
– Arcee vs. Onslaught = tough call. By the G1 cartoon or Onslaught's G1 tech specs, Onslaught should win. Arcee never got a G1 toy, but it's unlikely she would defeat a Combiner leader on any given day. However, if we go by the IDW comics then Arcee is pretty deadly, and she could pull out a win.
– Cliffjumper vs. Swindle = another hard call. Going by the G1 cartoon and tech specs, Swindle may pull it out. But if we go by the IDW comic, Cliffjumper is a heckuva warrior, and he would likely win.
All in all, the Decepticons either "tie" or win the various matchups, so I'm thinking this picture is a good day for the Decepticons.

Finally something Transformers in Canada. Too bad it wasn't Ottawa nor New Brunswick. Still I'll take what I can get.
also outside of Megatron, no one here is in MTMTE.
SPLIT LIP
Interesting selection of characters present.
