Hot on the heels of the official images, RID 2015 Stomp n Chomp Grimlock has been sighted at US retail. This first sighting comes from a TRU in Kansas City, MO so he should be popping up all over the place shortly. We also have news of the online listing which in turn provides us with his price tag which is a hefty $79.99. The scannable sticker for the RID2015 mobile game can be found on his transformation handle on his back (it wasn’t on the figure in the stock images, so we felt it worthy to point out). This sticker, for those who aren’t aware of this feature of the game, can be scanned by mobile devices, allowing you to play as that version of that character.
Happy hunting, TFW!

So this grimlock has been in the Utah TRU stores for several weeks. Didn't even think it was news, since technically it really only qualifies as highway robbery.

Here he is
GiganGoji
So, it comes with a higher price tag, but no sword or Optimus? Makes sense.

I keep forgetting about that. I really should get around to getting one sooner or later.

And the proportions of the FoC-Mold work very well with RiD-Grimlock, considering his tail is rather huge and stumpy. The rest is just good retool work, and the legs in dino mode might have more articulation than the FoC one had, since they had to remold the dino thighs / robot shoulders, so now you can actually move those in dino mode without having to pull them out, at least that's what it looks like on the prototype.
As for the hollow tummy – it is annoying but it serves a purpose, and thus I can forgive it.
Exactly. This is the figure I wanted since I first saw the design and the one I gave up on having, since everyone Hasbro put out was the Warrior-class and the bigger and simpler x-step toys.
Fallout
battle grimlock looks great. i don't even like the character or the robot mode design that much but dino mode looks spot on and i doubt it'll get a hasbro release so i PO'd it. i figure it'll be in demand.
Burnout
And they are still there.
Grimlockimus
Oh the majority of people do, myself included, but the Takara Battle Grimlock looks like it might hide it a bit better than the Generations toy.
That and people, again myself included, are a bit more forgiving of an older mold's issues when it's repurposed into something that a good amount of people want. In this case a Voyager sized RID Grimlock.
T-Hybrid
I thought people hated Generations Grimlock's trex mode?
Autoboty
I had that rolling around my head ever since I watched the movie. Any recommends to reshell into an Indominus? (The huge Hasbro Indominus has a perfect shell, but I can't find a suitable TF body to put it on.)

man.. i'd LOVE a jurassic world transformers crossover.
i mean, as cheap and simplistic as figures are these days.. rattrap and rhinox were rather nice, so i have to believe that if hasbro really tried, they'd be able to give us some kick ass looking dinosaur transformers.
have the usual dinobots be themselves, have the indominus rex be megatron, they could even give us bots of the the motorcycle, the jeep, and the mobile vet truck.
now that would be a crossover that i'd love. oh, and the dinosaurs would be realistic dinosaurs, like in beast wars, not G1 style or movie style.
but i'm sure there is some legal jargon preventing something like this.. and it's not like hasbro would seem too interested considering they still haven't bothered to do a proper Joe crossover.
now there's an idea.. a joe, transformer, and jurassic world crossover.
you could have transformer dinosaurs and vehicles that scale well with the joe figures. wow, alright, i'm getting carried away.

Oh, come on! Why couldn't the design team do a BETTER repaint/remold, like the Adventure Battle Grimlock? I can still find the original version of this mold at my local K-Mart.

So we got this hunk of plastic, some shampoo bottles, and a giant Bee. Given today's toy aisle, that doesn't leave much room.
Autoboty
This is an ABSOLUTE PIECE OF CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP!
Though it will make picking up the mold to customize into an Indominus Rex easier.
Darkstone
In Takara we trust. Seriously, can't wait to see colored pics of that mold near the end of September, that's the RiD-Grimlock I've waited for.
Hollow dino-tummy or not, still the best representation we can ask for, the prototype looks awesome.

If someone sees it again, can you try to get a clear pic of the scannable Autobot symbol.
Curious to see what it scans as into the game.
My phone wouldn't pick the one up from this photo.
BlueAngel_Bolt
I won't lie, AoE Grimlock looks tight in those colors. Now only if it were on a good toy.
OriginalFire
This thing does not look cool
Matthew22 37
I will say that the toy does look better in these colors. However, a nicer, shinier turd is still a piece of crap.
GreednGluttony
I'll definitely get this guy if he gets marked down
