Following the new Character Trailer, Sony’s Playstation Blog has revealed the PS4/PS3 Preorder Bonuses for Transformers: Devastation.
Aside from the five playable Autobots, anyone who pre-orders Transformers: Devastation will get a trio of specialized character skins. So, if names like Nemesis Prime, Red Alert, and Goldfire make you giggle like an excited little kid, you may want to spend a little time on PlayStation Store.
Platinum Games is also including three unique pieces of equipment, which is kind of a big deal. Like the combat system, the developer put a lot of work into creating an extraordinary library of weapons, making sure every armament is one-of-a-kind and thoroughly balanced. So, the fact that Platinum crafted these three pieces of DLC specifically for pre-order customers should make you feel very special. Here’s what’s on the table:
- The Dark Star Saber is a fiercely intimidating blade that radiates waves of dark energy with every swing.
- The Photon Disruptor is an incredibly powerful, shotgun-style weapon that has a short range but deals huge amounts of area damage.
- The twin Golden Hunter is a pair of blaster pistols that causes enemies to drop credits when attacked.
Check out an image of the bonuses, after the jump.

The game is but I don't see mention of the pre-order bonus anywhere.
Destron UK
It's on the website so I'd imagine they are.

Looks like Best Buy isn't getting this. WTF?

thanks for the link!
Autobot_Goldbug
Yes?
don't need one of those
When it is supposed to be a different character with different voice over.
Yeah a G2 Sideswipe or Clampdown would have been much better!
PC pre-order on steam=
Pre-purchase TRANSFORMERS: Devastation on Steam
They are really putting me on the spot with adding GoldBUG in there.
I hope there will be some enterprising modeler/skinner that will make a real VW mod for Bumblebee/Goldbug.

In the UK, Amazon's selling the PC version on disc for less than half the price of pre-ordering it on Steam. I don't think it includes these bonuses, but I'm assuming Activision will sell them as DLC later.
The game has an upgrade system (you collect 'credits' in-game for this). It's possible the skins and 2 of the weapons might have elevated stats – the pistols increase the amount of credits defeated enemies drop.

So can you just order it from ANYWHERE ? and get these ? Buying it off amazon ? will that be okay ?

I'm pretty sure Devastation isn't going to get a GOTY edition either due to lackluster gameplay or lack of DLC to put into a GOTY version.
If you're adamant about getting everything for your $60 then just wait for the game to go on sale and use the money you saved to buy the DLC.
SuperMegaAutobot
Idc about any of that. I want an open world G1 game with original voice cast if at all possible. Since they're all 50-60+ its now or never to support their work and money talks. Practicality trumps whatever little principled stance you want to make here.
MrFX
That just encourages developers to milk us more than they already do. Give me a complete game on Day 1, and I'm more likely to buy…on Day 1.
emoo
But there has never been a GOTY Transformers edition game and with this years competition of Batman, Fallout 4, Witcher 3, Battlefront and others, I don't see this being the first year of that happening
Sylent
I'm going to have to wait for the GOTY edition (perhaps during the Holidays). I know this is beating a dead bot, but if I'm paying $60 for a game, everything should be in it already without jumping through a casserole of nonsensical hoops. It's the same reason I haven't sprung for Arkham Asylum yet… and I love those Batman games.

Just waiting on Best Buy to say they're getting the preorder bonus.

For anyone waiting to get the game and DLC on discount, consider that the best likelihood of getting more G1-based games is to make the game a financial success. Dan Gilvezan even said as much in a recent Vangelus interview where he was discussing voicing bumblebee again after 30 years. Strong numbers out the gate usually help with that.
Just something to consider when deciding if/where/when you pick this up. I haven't dropped 50 bucks on a game in years but pre-ordered this time. Would love to eventually get a G1 open world game with the original voice cast and no one is getting younger.
Rodimus Prime
Meh. I was hoping they'd have something besides repaints and weapons. Season 3 Bots too out there, but maybe Cliffjumper/Huffer for Bumblebee, Mirage/Prowl for Sideswipe, and Ironhide for Optimus.
I guess it could be worse, we could've gotten Wheelie.
Ultimately, I'd prefer Rodimus, Magnus, and Kup.

It's fun that Dr. Wu already made the sword as a toy back when it was on TFPrime.

Autovolt 127
Hahahaha nice one Burnout, you sure schooled him.

Depends on if cutscenes are run off the game engine, which they pretty much are nowadays. Could happen that you get that weird reversal to the default view, but I doubt it.
Example. All cutscenes in Bloodborne showed me in the equipment I was wearing at the time.

Don't preorder. The game on discount + the pre-order DLC as a separate buy will almost guaranteed be cheaper at that point.
