Do you want to see the coolest birthday cake ever? You’re in luck! Thanks to YouTube user russellmunro and Toyland.com, all Transformers fans may just be asking for this birthday cake. According to Toyland:
The lucky lad in this video is the son of YouTuber Russell Munro who used a 3D printer to construct the transforming base for this cake. All of the baked and frosted parts then help to cover up the motors and other mechanisms that allow this wonderful creation to transform.
How awesome is this?! Check out the full video after the jump.

Mine have. They can be a bit hard to impress, but that cake did it. Respect to everyone involved in making it.
Oh, and Hasbro – take notes.

Well the bar has been raised.
(My kid must never EVER see this video!)

Their Cupcakeola was pretty delicious IMHO.

If I had this birthday cake back in 1985, I know I would have initially crapped my pants with joy. Although, after about a minute, the novelty would have worn off and then, I probably would have been like, "Where's his trailer and his ion blaster?", "…and why doesn't he have Autobot symbols on his shoulders?", "There's no elbow articulation.", "Dammit!", "That's not the real Optimus Prime." Ultimately, I would have ruined the party for my Mom and all of the other kids. I guess that's just how us G1ers roll.

Nice some one will say the cake is out of scale.

I'm still waiting for Caketoys to announce their battletanker version too.

I'll bet that kid was the bell of the ball at that party! A transforming cake? Dude, what kid wouldn't be in hog heaven and beloved by friends and family?! Awesome stuff!
Soundblaster411

Hey, I could transform that cake into a whole other alt mode entirely after eating it. Albeit, a smelly brown one that people wouldn't really want to have at a party.

No ankle tilts or waist swivel either – is this the 1990s? Also, I'd be concerned that those joints are going to fall apart in a few months time – looks like this is MP9 all over again.
Meanwhile Fan Toys have just teased a silhouette of Victorious Sponge (their own version of Optimus Cake), so I'm going to wait and seen how that pans out first.
Nocturne
This is such a cool idea! And respect to both the parents for making it happen. It's really sweet to see how excited the kids are.
