SG Roadbuster
that's the state of modern gaming. no longer are rewards and bonuses given for excellent gameplay. if you want the bells and whistles and new characters, you better grease up your credit card and make some microtransactions.

Oh…maybe…but I don't think he can do a Chris Latta impression. Latta's Starscream is a very straining voice on the throat. How Chris did it…I'll never know.
Michael McConnohie was Tracks and Cosmos in G1 but he also has had many roles in numerous anime.

So what is that Nova Prime meant to imply to us? Is just a new game design inspired by the existing BC Optimus/Motormaster toy? Or is based on an actual toy? Is so is it cancelled, upcoming or something else?
Can definitely see this. Make it happen Hasbro…it's too obvious not to do at this point, between this and BC Optimus.
Also a fan of the "cartoonified" styles of CW Megatron and Menasor.

You thought a game called Devastation, with Devastator on the cover the year that a giant Devastator toy is on shelves wouldn't include at least some elements from the new, also G1 homaging toyline that the giant Devastator is part of?
Fallout
ugh, thought this was gonna be a G1 game. nova prime, megatron and menasor kind of kill that vibe.

Just because only a handful of bosses are mentioned here doesn't mean the game is only limited to seven levels. To use another Platnium game as an example, the Wonderful 101 technically only has nine boss fights at the end of the nine stages (ten if you count the prologue which the game labels "Operation: 000"). You also fight the same guy as an end boss twice, then two different bosses utilize more or less the same "rockem sockem robots" gimmick at some point in their fights.
The game is not short on length or bosses, though. Practically every single boss is a multi-round/stage affair and there's a crapload of mini-bosses along the way. And then each of the main stages is split into thirds so, really, I guess the game has about twelve "normal" length stages. And the final boss himself has maybe seven different phases, the last of which is probably the funniest quicktime event ever concieved.
TL;DR – if the layout of this TF game is anything like Wonderful 101, a small number of levels is not going to be a problem of content and repetition.
My God.
A little black paint and the only thing keeping Battle Core Optimus from being a perfect Nova Prime in this regard is the wrong chest.
Something easily solved (and improved upon even) since the art shows it's not a flat layer of chest armor, so all somebody would need to do is create an aftermarket chest panel to stick on the robot mode – maybe make it a full-blown mantle to include the "wings" so-to-speak and just mount the whole thing on the toy's shoulders – and it would make an oddball like Battle Core into something highly desired. Something all "Classics" repaints of Optimus who are white seem to have going for them, given the precident set by Ultra Magnus.
And yeah, unless it could somehow fold up into some kind of trailer accessory (which would be flippin' badass) it would be kibbble unusable in the other forms, but let's be honest – nobody's buying Nova Prime for the alt. mode (unless the trailer thing actually pans out because trucks automatically look cool with trailers in this franchise) or a slightly different Menasor torso.
Slingshot
Nova Prime is in this? Alright, now I'm sold on this game.
Is he the final Antagonist? If so, this will be the best Transformers game we've ever gotten. I love that character and his backstory.
Starscream Gaga
Nova Prime's epic wings and this game being built from Bayonetta (I still can't emphasis how perfect that is) is making me psyched for the final boss. With the wings, I'm imagining a Transformer-style Balder battle, a similar "fallen angel with a major connection to the main character" boss.

Too epic!
Not quite sure if your work's filters are the OP's problem… Use your phone if its that big of an issue.
NotRamjet97
Hmm. I was on the fence before, but Nova Prime being there may turn me off wanting this thing.

Man I can't wait for this game. I'm going to hold off on getting it until Christmas, as that's also when I'll be getting the Takara Devy. It will be a revisiting of my Transformers-tinged childhood this holiday season.
BB Shockwave
How'd about actually LISTING them instead of giving a link that's blocked from work? Sheesh.
The Mad Demobot
I see now. Still, without the pics before this I assumed that
. Still, glad it's just a color scheme for
and still kept his comic design. Still waiting for that Father Balder-styled final boss though at the rate Platinum's going with him.
It's confirmed that Ol' Screamer's gonna be a boss from the gameplay trailer. My guess is that Steve Blum will do the voice, since he's the popular take on the character now. Plus Platinum loves using him, so there's that. Also, who's Michael McConnohie?
Digilaut
Great digibash, Ra!
Seeing that makes me even more bummed that we're not getting a 'proper' Nova. I honestly don't believe the Devastation Nova Prime was designed after a (scrapped) Nova Prime toy, which is something that was suggested over on TFormers – but I do think it's weird how Hasbro just didn't create exactly this for Battle Core Optimus, sans wings, and…just called it Battle Core Optimus.
The deco changes would not have mattered for the general public, who have no idea who Nova Prime -a character that already greatly resembles Optimus- is anyway, but it would have mattered to us. /
Still going to pick up Core Prime to use as Nova, as I always intended. And if you want a more accurate Nova Prime you can go for either a 3rd Party one or the Club one, I guess. Still, a cheap, retail available one? Would've been gold.
Ra88
Because this was way to easy to do and lines up perfectly. Even the chest details match the Motormaster mold almost perfectly. Only totally new bits are the wings and shoulder pauldrons.
Novaburnhilde
Very interesting.
I'm very excited to play this game when it comes out. Its looking better with each bit of info released for it.
Starscream's definitely in the game, as he's seen fighting Sideswipe. Presumably as a boss or Mini-boss. I'm pretty sure I saw Thundercracker fighting Bee as well, so perhaps there's more to this than we know.
People should wait until the game is out before making any solid judgement.
Autovolt 127
I'm guessing they couldn't find a good Chris Latta soundalike?
I hope Michael McConnohie voices him. He's who I read his voice as in the comics.
Knightsword
You need look at his arms and legs a little bit more.
The Mad Demobot
Why do people keep saying that
Sure he's got the color scheme a bit, but he looks like his IDW design, which is great imo. Speaking of designs, will he fight like Father Balder? He really does look like him, just needs "You May Call Me Father" playing during the fight.

Anyone notice that Nova Prime is a Combiner Wars Optimus retool hmmmmm.
Keldroc
Only if you're crazy.
