We’ve got something cool to show you now. Via TFND, we have a look at the pack-in comics which were supposed to come with the repacks of the Combiner Wars Wave 1 Deluxes. Those following the site will know that this intended running change ultimately never materialised for the Aerialbots, though we did get Dragstrip with a comic in a revised Wave 2 case.
These comics were being given away with a spend of approximately $60 or more at a Taiwanese comic convention. What is cool about this is we have a look at the backs of the comics – which like all Combiner Wars Deluxes, feature extra-length bios for the toys. The great thing here is that we finally get some more background on who Alpha Bravo is and how he came to join the Aerialbots.
We have a big shout out and thank you to send to TFW member Viking_iGamer, who brought this to our attention via the TFW2005 Facebook page.

Hasbro should give the option of mailing in the 'collector cards' and replacing them with the comics.

Hasbro have gotten increasingly bad at keeping track of when their own products – a bunch of later RID stuff this year was "officially announced" long after it had been released in international markets.
The "Fall 2015" is presumably referring to Cyclonus and Viper, the new products in Galvatronus, but Hasbro was apparently unaware that both those figures had already hit US retail by the time BotCon happened…

Some reason I thought this photo said wave 5, but then I also don't get why it says fall 2015 when these was already released.
Autovolt 127
Your maybe the first person I've heard on here say that.
Exinferis
I'd like to see some hi-res scans of these, just the bio parts, no point having the whole comic book if it's just a re-print.
Jalaguy
Wave 5 (Combaticons) is 2016 Wave 1, which means it will likely appear in December or late November.
Demsac
Has they been any news on Wave 5 yet? Viewing the botcon youtube video, it shows skydive, air raid, dragstrip and breakdown for fall 2015.
Prime Jetscream
Much as I like these bios, they sure as hell don't sound like Soundwave wrote them. Don't know about Rung.
Quickslinger's bio says he can hover, interestingly enough.
megatronski
Wow, I wish I lived where you did, I only saw the figures once in like, February or March. The shelfwarmers in my area have been the Stunticons.
Zylly103
You know, with all these bios, I'd kinda like one to say, instead of being "cleared for duty" something like "under no circumstances allow this lunatic metal cutlery, let alone a gun."
Smitty.1981
You have shelf warming I have empty pegs…
Autovolt 127
It's a shame but the figures already shelfwarm as it is. It's for the best.
Eurobeatking
Nice bios,it would be nice to see these version on the shelves down the road,I like they way they are packed.
griffin-of-oz
No need to go to Allspark when TFW had the news first here by two months.
Starscream Gaga
Spark-lock missiles? What a psychotic badass. And I bet I know just who he's aiming for…
TheSupernova
Oh, yes, forgot about that. Thanks, guys!
Zircor
Only thing is on Alpha Bravo's bio it says he's the only Aerialbot that can hover – can't Harriers do this as well? Which is what Firefly/Quickslinger are, correct?
Jalaguy
His Kreon and Bot Shot were called Firestrike.
The FOC version got its name changed to Air Raid, too.
Knightsword
His Botshot's name was Firestrike.
Neo Tallgeese
LOL!!! Firefly has changed his name! Love it! Its the little things like that which I appreciate! Kudos to the part about the Stunticons loving their alt modes so much they decided to keep them!
