Third-party company, Maketoys have been on a roll the last two days, next up we see their take on Hot Spot, Vulcan in color! Vulcan is still in production so some colors might change, but this is how he will probably will look when he is released later this fall!
Check out the gallery after the jump!

Hi Echo, thanks for the prompt reply
These links work (yesterday I had blank pages, both from mobile or PF, with different connections).
I don't know if I read correctly from prev posts, but was it planned to make a kit with all the pieces in one print, to save a bit? (I see it's about 60$ to get them all, 2 in white and 2 in black, to ship in my country)
Thanks for your work in any way, I received yesterday Axel and was pretty disappointed finding it already broken

Do these links work?

Hi there, have you been able to order it? I'm trying right now on shapeways, but it goves me an empty page (even if I try from your youtube video). Was it removed or does it have any geographic limitations?

How in the bleep did I never see this?!?!
Ordering.

Great news, so glad the parts helped! Definitely an interesting time, figure-wise to collect. Lots of neat stuff in that 'vintage'. Good luck!

Thank you @echotransformer, the joy of being able to ressurect this toy is a different level altogether. I am a late opener of boxes and guys like you save me all the time. The collection path I am taking is more like history of transformers collecting rebirth. Starting with TFC moving forward. Bought everything related and will keep buying these 3d print replacements/enhancements. Makes these toys much more special.

Oh, yeah, my TFsource stack is now Axle-less; guess that settles it!
Prime of Shadows
Actually just ordered my shapeways kit. I just got my set back, and Axle promptly broke at the waist, kickstand, and one ankle strut. Time to just replace everything!
anubis20
I had another Axle on preorder from TFSource and got an email about a refund this morning
Gravity Allen
Thrilled to see it, too! ^_^
I assume it was to add heft? Axle is the tiniest of the bunch — skeletal compared to everyone else — most noticeable in gestalt mode.
And since this is actually a Guardia thread, a gratuitous shot of the Echo-Upgraded combiner (Axle fits in well)!

What? Really? Hmm…maybe I knew that but just forgot. Wonder what was MT's obsession with adding so much diecast to just this one figure?
anubis20
I just realized the front rotors are also diecast
echotransformer
Great results, @Jarrod so glad these are helping people fix their Axles!!!

@echotransformer I cannot thank you enough for creating these! I got my replacement set earlier this week, but just had time to paint and install them today.
Everything fit and was toleranced perfectly! No need for any kind of mods at all. I bought the whole set, but only intended to use the foot struts and back panel, since my kickstand and exhaust were still in perfect shape. The diecast exhaust promptly broke while taking these photos, hahaha. Good thing I painted up your replacement anyway!

Wow, results look good, Anubis20. Yeah, Shapeways parts do tend to have a bit of texture from the 'sintering' process. They have a 'polished' or 'smooth' operation where they put them in some kind of stone tumbler but it tends to jack with the tolerances and make them harder to paint…
anubis20
Got a fully refurbished Axle! Many thanks @echotransformer.
not sure if its because it was less noticeable on the black plastic for the waist but I got these in white and noticed more texture and more print lines. I tried sanding to minimize the texture but I gave up. They still look fine after some paint. I masked the mushroom pegs on the feet and left them unpainted just to prevent any pint rub issues.

Thanks for the update, jthitman!

Just got the leg struts and exhaust today (black versatile plastic)
I have attached a few photos to show the results. I did have to use screwdriver to widen the hole for the pins. I have previously operated on my Axle so I carved out large sections of where the strut was attached with the pin. However, the shapeway struts supported the figure standing and I was able to convert it to cycle mode with few gaps. I am very tempted to order the kit when echotransformer puts it up just to have a backup or possibly rehab another axle. I did not need to shave down the mushroom part of the strut for the feet, but it was a little tight. I really believe making these parts plastic makes the figure robust, as the diecast was so brittle and there was a bit of a need to flex parts when going to combiner mode and vehicle mode.

I still need to find an Axle to fix!
