Play With This Too has updated their Facebook page with the first photos of their revamped Pretender Starscream homage dubbed Jetstrike. Jetstrike will be available during PWTToo’s second Kickstarter attempt in September, which will include “10 figures available in the first round. 4 versions of Boneyard and 4 versions of Jetstrike. Plus 2 special figures for customizers.”
Hit the discussion link below to share some of your thoughts on the prototype and head over to their Facebook page for the full set of images. We hopefully will be seeing a painted version within the next couple of weeks, stay tuned!

All they gotta do is announce the Tom Cruise head, and I'll be in for on in the Kickstarter. For now, I'll only go in for Grimlock. I would be down for multiples of both if they'd change the head.

All those sound better than Mafia Gomba.
WhiteMocha
Oh, for sure. It would be crazy of them to be offering different heads at this point. The last thing they need, after last time, is to throw too much potential product up at the beginning. Like they said, better to stay focused! Just fun to think about thematic options.
Scaleface
Thing to remember is that at the base level of funding all 4 Strikers will have the same head. Alternate human heads would be a stretch goal. So you would end up with Maverick with grey hair, blonde hair, brown hair and black hair. Still, the alternate heads looking like Goose and Iceman would be cool goals.

I like this!

Wandered over here from the MOTUC thread because Scaleface's idea of a Tom Cruise head for Jetsrike came up, and I thought it was a great idea. And it seemed here was a more appropriate place to talk about it.
Anyhow, I think it's a good idea, and more appropriate than the sort of leathery, grizzled Mafia-goomba they seem to be have now (I'm assuming that's kinda the look they're going for?). I guess I think of the Seekers as younger, smarmy, douchey guys. Frat boy types.
If you want to go full-Top-Gun, why not Starscream as Maverick/Cruise, Thundercracker as Goose, and Skywarp as Iceman? Kinda works.

That is the deco I am going to choose for Jetstrike. Fingers crossed this Kickstarter funds in first two weeks. I like paint job on the original, but the seems better on the TC homage.

Rik was interviewed on the TF Insane Asylum tonight. During the show he revealed Faststrike (aka Thundercracker).
Kickstarter begins Friday and cost is $39 per figure shipped to the USA (or less if you get multiple figures!) $78 for 2 figures, $113 for 3 figures, etc.

For reference, here is the old art of Faststrike from the first Kickstarter.

Yep, there he is…
Insane Galvatron
Yep. I didn't remember it from back in the day, but it was on TV a few days ago and I just happen to be flipping through when that scene was on. I was like, "holy cow, that kids playing with Starscream!"
Scaleface
Didn't Goose's kid play with a Starscream toy in the movie?
Insane Galvatron
Went without saying…
Yeah, that's it. My mind is made up. If this gets released with anything other than a Tom Cruise inspired head, I'll be disappointed.
zeroblue2099
I don't really need a celebrity head, just a better head. It doesn't need to be a Bruce Willis head, but I do think a bald head with a five o'clock shadow would work. Heck, use a 80's cartoon/toy as starting point. Ace from the G.I.Joe cartoons or Breaker.
Scaleface
and, you know… he's a jet. That's the reason I picked it.
Insane Galvatron
Ya know, I think Tom Cruise works. Considering he was Top Gun in the 80's and Starscream actually appeared in that movie!!

Donald Trump!
Insane Galvatron
How about Joseph Gordon Levitt? He played Cobra Commander in the live action GI Joe movie. Since G1 Starscream had the same voice as Cobra Commander in the original toon, I think it would work.
Or some other character that was a bad guy that wanted to betray his boss? Ooh, I got it. Charles Dance. The bad guy from Last Action Hero. He actually was second in command and killed his boss to be the new leader. Though that might be a bit obscure.
Scaleface
What pop star should Jetstrike have the head of then?
Here are some suggestions from me…
Insane Galvatron
Really, this thing needs a new head. The more I look at the human head, the more I hate it.
I had no interest in the Grimlock until I realized he looked like Arnold. Then he became a must have.
Not sure if everyone else feels the same way as I do, but making the human head look like some famous pop-culture icon will make these things MUCH more desirable. Give Starscream a good celebrity head and you can turn my attitude around. Maybe other people as well?
P.S. If PWTT ever gets around to doing Stranglehold/Muscules, he's GOTTA have a Burt Reynolds head like the original.
