Thanks to the Transformers Facebook page, we have a sneak peek of the next issue of the Windblade series. This sneak peek also comes with a little something extra as they’ve also posted two different and uncolored stages of the panels we’re looking at. From the looks of it, we catch a glimpse of extensive planning amongst Cybertron’s higher-ups as well as a little confrontation.
Anxious to get a taste of the next issue? Check out the images after the jump, and be sure to click the discussion link to share your thoughts with your fellow readers!

The amount of salt in this thread could fill the Dead Sea.
(totally buying AND enjoying this issue)

More crappy artwork but its IDW so no surprise there…
soymonk
That's not Bumblebee.
Newholl
It's freaking TFA right there.
It sticks out so much in a bad sense that it doesn't look like it's part of same continuity as MTMTE and RID.
AUTOBOT1995
Anyone else notice that the 3 pannels in different development stages are actually from windblade #3 page 23 not windblade #6?
Smasher
Wow. I don't normally say this about the IDW books but the art looks terrible.
ZeroiaSD
Quick version, he's simply like Ravage, Laserbeak, the Dinobots, and all the other G1 beast-formers.
Verno
The art is woeful, but the writing looks to be worse!
"My love…" "Fear not…" Did they get Tigatron and Silverbolt mixed up?
I was excited for this issue, but no longer.
Autovolt 127
Well i'll admit the art style isn't great, it isn't bad enough to be horrible.

Nocturne
That's fair enough. Art is all subjective after all. I've never been a big fan of Rojo myself. I'm not keen on how all his bots look a bit puffy. And sometimes I get this werid disconnect from the image and the words. Like, Ratchet was insulting Swerve but he was smiling?
Mort
I'm not a huge Corin Howell fan either I hate to say. I don't think her art is bad as such, but it makes me feel I'm reading a children's book. I can't imagine her trying to convey more serious themes in this style.
Nocturne
Wow, rude. Tumblr has loads of great artists. Stone, Kotteri, Burchum and even Milne post their art on Tumblr, abd that's only the ones I know of. How dare artists use a image blogging site to advertise their art and network with other artists and creators. It's good business sense to form contacts.
Howell's art is cute and fulk of character. Yes, it's nothing like Stone's beautiful work but it isn't without its charm.
Wow Blitz, Rattrap was introduced nearly two years ago. Just how behind are you ? Don't really want to say anything that will spoil stuff for you.

I don't think her art even has anything in common with Stone's. as for the others, well, I thought everyone was disappointed with Rojo so that shouldnt be surprising. and Andrew is mostly good and he's definitely improved over time. when he first started, his lines were really wobbly and I haaated the way he did faces. he's gotten better at TF faces, but now he's also being made to draw human faces and he's even worse at that
I dunno what that means. I don't read Marvel or DC but I like what I've heard about Squirrel Girl
that's not Bumblebee. also Rattrap has been around for nearly 2 years at this point so uh, it would be a lot to explain, but suffice to say he has no connection to Beast Wars, he just showed up one day with his own G1 backstory that's barely been expounded on
Blitz.
…. whats up with BB's head? Cant say I like the art its all very pointy for no real reason.
I'm catching up on MTMTE and IDW in general so could someone also fill me in why RatTrap is also in the room?
HuffR_WFCTX_91135
Yo, don't make me break out squirrel qirl.
Ra88
What makes you prefer her over Andrew and Rojo? Genuinely curious what someone else sees in her style because so far to me she's been a poor man's Sarah Stone with all the bad and none of the good of her style.
prime326
Yeah there is nothing wrong with hiring from tumblr. You never know where you can find great talent. But that being said, I actually dropped this series like a bad habit because of the art. I couldn't focus on the story the way this looks.
Abrogate
Corin Howell's work may not be as breathtaking as Sarah Stone's (who was also "hired from tumblr" so I'm not sure what point you think you're making) but compared to artists on the non-Windblade books, I'd say I like her a tad bit more than Andrew Griffith or Rojo (and way way waaaay more than Livio)
but look on the bright side I guess, there's only one more issue of this Windblade before it comes back next year with a new title, and when it does Sara Pitre-Durocher will be on the book, and she's about >= Sarah Stone
HuffR_WFCTX_91135
Man oh man did the art take a nosedive.
I guess this is what happens when you hire from Tumblr.
