Here is a listing which may interest some. Amazon.com has posted up a new listing for a Transformers/G.I. Joe crossover trade, due to be published in December 2015.
This trade is titled “Tyrants rise, Heroes are born”, and it carries the brief description of “Reprints the fan-favorite series set in World War II. Cobra Commander unleashes Megatron and the United States creates the G.I. JOE team to combat him.”
Based on the description, this sounds like a reprint of the Dreamwave Transformers/G.I. Joe crossover miniseries – given it is presently the only such crossover to have taken place in World War II. This series was known for its dark, gritty feel – almost excessively so – and was one of a series of crossovers between the two franchises made in the early 2000s, the others being ones published by the then G.I. Joe rights holders, Devil’s Due, which were the ones that had the Autobots and Decepticons adopting alternate forms based on G.I. Joe vehicles.
There’s no cover artwork yet – so attached to this post, we have one of the original covers from the first Dreamwave publication of this miniseries. You can find out a bit more about the series in our Comics Resources section.

I liked the series precisely because of the artwork. That cover with the Baroness is one of my favourites.

I couldn't stand Jae Lee's art, actually don't like his style much at all, but I thought the book was ok. But it's really dark. Not dark as in horror, dark as in some panels look like spilled ink.
Interesting take on the crossover, esp considering the price.

I'll take that as a "not really worth it", lol.
Galaxy Convoy
LOL, almost? It was a real struggle to tell what the hell was going on for like 95% of the entire series. For *me* it was the nail in the coffin for how awful of an artist Jae Lee is(my opinion).
Hopefully, for the sake of anybody that legitly wants to read ths story, this will be remastered; seriously brightened up and more color added. Just because it's WW2 doesn't mean it needs to look so dark and gritty to the point it looks like somebody dumped mud on some paper and smeared it around.

Is this series good? Have no clue if it's decent and I am slightly interested in picking this up.

i loved Jae Lee's art in it. [aside from the obvious pat lee swiping on some of the bots sometimes]

This was my first TF TPB I picked up that got me into DW comics as a young'n. I still really appreciate it for being so different (things like Rumble or so memorable).
