Hot on the heels of the retailer incentive cover for Transformers #43, we have a look at the RI covers for next week’s More than Meets the Eye #43 and Windblade #5 via IDW’s Tumblr. Like the cover for Transformers #43, these covers are done in a faux travel advert style, offering getaways to such locales as Caminus and that classic tourist hot spot, Unicron’s Head. Please note these are just special covers IDW has done for fun and do not reflect the contents of their respective issues.

I know it's just a fun reference, but it sure is weird that Unicron's severed head would become a tourist attraction. I guess it's like visiting a haunted prison island or something.

Until Hasbro decide to issue a Titan Unicron. Then all bets are off
Sol Fury
Sorry to disappoint, James Roberts is on record saying that he and John Barber plan on leaving that particular toy in the Transformers continuity toybox for now.
Megastar
I wan't Unicron to be in the IDW comics so badly.
Lumpy
Awesome. I love the way these look. Hopefully my comic shop gets them in, but if not I'll just download them and set one as my phone lock screen.
Sockie
It's just a reference to the G1 cartoon. RI covers have very little to do with interiors most of the time; Nebulos isn't going to be in this issue of notRiD, and Unicron isn't going to be in that issue of MTMTE.

I think Unicron might be IDW's version of Knowhere.
Veritas Prime
The covers look nice.
Autoboty
Ohhhhhh yeah.

Id imagine its an homage to the animated movie when Unicrons head was seen spiralling away at the end and of course it turned up in Sunbow season 3 and in Marvel landed on Junkion were he enslaved the junkion race in Legacy Of Unicron.
Its cool.
TheSupernova
To make four more Technobots to go with CW Voyager Scattershot.

While I'm not entirely sure why (and it might or might not be a feature of the IDW universe), perhaps it's the Cybertronian equivalent of visiting an active volcano.
Autoboty
Why would anyone want to visit Unicron's head?
ultramagnus1
Looking cool.
Hope I can get this cover

Same artist, James Biggie, did these ones, too. IDW shared these on their tumblr a few days ago

Heh. I had considered it, too. I wish I could print it out in the poster size and replace one of the two that hang on the wall beside my cubicle. The owner does have a sharp eye (he's big into art as well) and would probably pick up on it fast. I'd be curious as to what his reaction would be – though, being an older gentleman, I'm not sure what his take on nerd culture would be.
I'll have to do something, though!
Autoboty
Hmm. How about you print the above image in poster size (after cropping the title bar, of course) and hang it on your office wall when no one's watching? Let's see how long it takes for someone to figure out the 'Poster' is describing someplace that's not real.

The owner of the company I work for is a huge aviation enthusiast and there are all sorts of these vintage posters around the office – Pan Am (which this poster has the strongest references), United, American Airlines, KLM, Air France, you name it – it's on the walls.
This one hits all the right notes, so I'm getting a big kick out of it!
Autovolt 127
That is so cool looking. I love retro posters like this.

Is that Brainstorm?
