It seems this one passed us by – until now! At San Diego Comic Con 2015, Hallmark gave a sneak-peak of what they have in store for their 2016 range of ornaments. One of those ornaments is a Generation 1 toy inspired version of Grimlock! He’s based on his original toy’s dinosaur mode, and will be a must for anyone who is collecting the Hallmark ornaments – or versions of the Dinobot Commander.

I was thinking the same thing. That eyelet needs to be further down his back so he balances seemingly upright. Not looking like a strangled elephant. (Oh and I don't recomend reading the story behind that elephant picture.)

Got Grimlock yesterday while walking around a shopping center and saw a hallmark store…luckily remembered he was supposed to be out.
First one had paint issues with the eyes so I exchanged it… only common issue I see is the glue residue (clouding) on the neck clear plastic.

Just checked prices for Optimus. 60-100 bucks. If you find him cheaper get him, have a feeling it'll keep increasing in price. Weird that I can find Megatron for 4 bucks.

Ordered. Please continue the one a year release so I can slowly turn our Christmas tree to a Transformers one without the wife noticing or when she does, it's too late.

Here he is, in all of his plastic glory…

I remember it was hard to find a G1 Megatron that someone hadn't broken off his cannon…. several were in the discount box after the first of the year because they were broken.
Seems like a similar thing happened with the G1 Optimus too, people kept trying to move his leg, one of them was posed in a bent position, guess they thought it was supposed to straighten out.
Gotta head out Tues for a look see, got too busy over the weekend to go ornament hunting, hopefully I'll find some Grimmies for this year's TF Tree.

When did I ever say it was supposed to be?

It's not a toy, it's never intended to be a toy. Articulation for a tree ornament is rarely if ever done. It's sole purpose is to hang on a tree for a few weeks and get packed away until the following year.

I went and checked this guy out over the weekend. He's not terrible for a tree ornament. Really just feels like a cheap dollar store toy with no articulation.
I'm curious to see what will happen with these in a year. Megs is on ebay for <10$, but there are no primes to be found anywhere.

They had a few left over in AZ. Would appear they will probably release a Decepticon next year. Probably Starscream if I had to guess…

Was out of town over the weekend, went to the local mall we passed on the way home and the Hallmark there was permanently closed. Well f***. Gotta go about an hour away to find a Hallmark. Going to try and get him, and maybe the Captain America & Iron Man ornaments next time I'm near a Hallmark.

I have to figure out a way to get this guy. G1 Grimlock is my 9 year olds FAVOURITE transformer. I can't wait to see his face when I give him this to hang from the tree.
Big Bronze Rim
Definitely want that.

Megatron is cool and I might grab this but I really wanted Optimus and went to get him too late.

I had both Optimus and Megatron, but I lost them in the basement. Now if only they can do a Soundwave.

My wife bought me megatron last year. I need this and optimus

I'll have to get this one. I have the Megatron from last year. I need the Optimus, but I haven't found one that's reasonable.

I have 2 ordered at Hallmark and I'm going to pick them up today.
Galvatron1998
Cool. I have the other two as well and plan on getting this one for my birthday. They currently have 21 available in my area.
