New solicits for RID Hyper Change Night Ops Bumblebee have dropped. Since 2005 Boards member Nevermore so elegantly explained what the deal is, we will just quote his break down below. Hit those retailers if he’s on your wishlist!
RID Hyperchange Heroes/Three-Step Changers wave 5 is going to feature a redeco of wave 1’s Bumblebee, named “Night Ops Bumblebee” once again.
Preorders are up at Entertainment Earth, ToyWiz, BBCW Distributors and Big Bad Toy Store.
The deco has previously been seen via the RID app.
This wave also contains Sideswipe, debuted in wave 4 and has been released at US retail.
Also seen over on the Chinese Hasbro site are shots of RID One Step Gold Armor Grimlock and Patrol Mode Strongarm, check it out after the break.

So, straight redeco, unlike the TRU exclusive with battle mask?

That grey… makes it look like an unfinished pre-production prototype toy.
I don't know what is worse, unpainted grey wheels or those eye-sore yellow wheels that the smaller Night-Ops Bumblebee toys have.

I actually collect the gimmick stuff, so keep track of it all (so I can make a little fun of it).
I honestly think the 3-step Grimlock is a much better toy (engineering wise) than the Warrior Grimlock… and it is better scale with the Warrior Autobots if you want cartoon scale.

Yeah, I do wonder who follows this R.I.D. 1-step/3-step news… It's just that, if I'm buying this as a gift, or even getting it for my own kids, I'm not necessarily searching info for the newest, latest thing. I'm going to the store to buy whatever is there.
Not to say I don't appreciate the notice of this stuff coming out! But Hasbro has been pumping out too much product lately, and it gets overwhelming and insane to see even the 1-steps get this many repaints, alongside everything else. (I.e. was anyone asking for a G1 1-step Grimmy??? That's got to be a niche within a niche, no?)
dCon
and I collect and I collect all three steps except I did return steel jaw and my ten year old I gave grim lock too (& haven't found one since ugh)
Although for a strait repaint that's not room colors, color me not interested

It came as quite a surprise to me as well I also have the 3 step Grimlock which is a blast.

You buying a Bumblebee toy… who'd have thought?
Hollywood Hoist
I'll be picking it up. I love the 3 step changer, it's a lot of fun to transform back and forth.

I don't blame you, as there is probably only about 5 people here who will buy it, and probably four of them are just gifts to people they don't like.
Seriously though, fansites have to prioritize the elements that interest the majority of its main audience. I was just hesitant in linking to one of their galleries on this site in case I had missed seeing it here somewhere. (as it wouldn't be too respectful of me to this site if it was already here)
Autovolt 127
Fitting Considering Terry McGuinus voices Bumblebee.
Enigma2K2
Looks like a redesign on the Batmobile

Yeah sorry about that. Due to needing to cover so much for Toyark and the other network sites, at SDCC I try to zero in on collector grade newer stuff only. I only did a drive by on the RID cases.
griffin-of-oz
It was in the SDCC RID display case, but I didn't see it on TFW's gallery so can't link to a TFW version of this Seibertron image.
It was only the robot mode though, but gives us the actual colors, compared to the shiny photoshop colors of the official images.

Because I think this was never frontpaged and there are no replies yet, I'm just gonna bump this thread now that I found images.
