For those who missed it in the live coverage of the SDCC 2015 Hasbro Transformers panel, a gameplay trailer video of Transformers Devastation was shown. This trailer shows off the action of this Platinum Games developed title. Check out the trailer with some voicework by Frank Welker as Megatron, a glimpse of Blitzwing in-game, Shockwave, Thundercracker, Insecticons, and topped off by the huge Devastator! It’s a minute and a half of pure awesome fun – check it out below:
After the break, check out a video via Comingsoon.net showing Sideswipe fighting Devastator while a member of Activision talks a bit about the game in the background.

I'm very disappointed with the lack of PC support for this game. One Transformers game I'll likely have to miss.
Edit: Just watched it again and noticed that PC was listed as a platform. That's awesome news to me.

Talked to one of the developers of this on the floor. The combo system is layered and has some depth to it, like Bayonetta. You can play this as a button masher, but you won't see all the cool combos/animations this game to offer. Kinda like the way you can play Street Fighter II-V like a button masher. Multiple difficulty levels, 2 of which must be unlocked. 6-8 hour play time, without side missions/quests. Tons of NPCs and Easter Eggs to find. Wouldn't tell me if Michael Bell was voicing Prowl, only that he also originally voiced Scrapper. Said Greg Berger was walking around the convention floor. If it hasn't been said, Grimlock is obviously playable as he's on the player select screen. Wanted to tell the the story from the Autobots' POV and see the gestalts from their POV, hence no playable 'Cons. Wouldn't say officially that Menasor was in the game, but since he does appear on the game poster…
That's all I can remember.

Seibertron's Devastation hands-on with Wheeljack (video)

Wheeljack's special ability is a shield. There's some PR speak as the Game Producer tells us that Wheeljack's unique for having a missile launcher despite everyone having ranged weapons, which worries me slightly. We get more footage of the Devastator boss fight though.
Autovolt 127
uh that's because this is based on G1…and those series were heavily based on G1.
It's GEEWUN!

Is Pat Lee the artistic director on this? This looks a lot like Dreamwave or AHM.

I like what I see so far.
I'm not looking for anything substantial. Those were since the mid or late 90's.
Except maybe for a few games. Even then NA tends to ignore them or are blind to it.

Or button mashing in God of War. That will make you Loser of War.
I like what I see and cant wait for it to come. but then again I have always liked these kind of games.
Starscream Gaga
Just try "button mashing" in Bayonetta. See how long you last.
Its really noticeable who has and has not played Bayonetta, which this game is clearly based on. It is the exact opposite of boring- Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 are some of the funnest, most challenging games made.

I can understand people who don't appreciate the over-the-top skill based brawlers that Platinum make a name delivering. I wouldn't to be that person though. It's brilliant that they're using transforming for a lot of action based stuff and there is a mechanic that lets you do the rapid fire combos based on the speed you build up before colliding with an enemy.
Saw some gameplay where Optimus threw a Bot to the ground and did a transforming piledriver landing on him in truck mode. Absolutely perfect. Can't wait to see how they up the ante as you progress through the game. Their games always do ramp up in the most insane way.

Looks very very promising! I dig the metal music too.

What do you think 80's video gaming was all about? IMO, the best era too!
I completely welcome this departure from online-multiplayer-cheating-trophy-crap nonsense.

Well darn no Decepticon playable characters put me out. Not having the twitch factor of my younger days likely wouldn't help either. But I do like the art style.
Raiju
The art style is just amazing! My boy Wheeljack (and his giant wrench) will be a playable character, happy day! Swipes looks pretty cool with his swords. Optimus and Bee are neat but fairly par for the course (loving Prime using his trailer as a giant battering ram though). Spotted Grimlock and Shackwave (Shockwave's clone army perhaps?) too.
MindChamber
whooo Devastator is huge, each one of those constructicons would be the size of Jetfire
hendrijr
needs an autobot city map and a cybertron map!
DOTM Bumblebee
YES!!! Starscream, Shockwave, Wheeljack, and Thundercracker are in this thing too! WOOHOO! Definitely gonna try and get this!
Sai
This is like a dream come true for me! We have what looks like a decent G1 game at last! Really hope this delivers in terms of gameplay, difficulty level, etc…Loved watching every second of that clip
Cobalt Agent
Optimus Prime wastes Devastator for the fourth time!
Rob
So awesome!

Firstly, I think "brawler" or "beat 'em up" is more of an accurate than calling this a "fighting" game since that's what Street Fighter is. Secondly, I think that High Moon's games were just as repetitive since each mission was going from A to B while shooting enemies. How is this any different? Instead of mashing buttons you were holding down or rapidly pressing the shoot button.
At least there's a challenge mode, just like Vanquish (which gets tough) and Metal Gear Rising.
And this is just a dumb opinion to have in my opinion seeing as many games these days ship with no online elements.
