I totally watched the Mortal Kombat movie the other day because of this podcast. So worth it.
power3921
The show you're covertly watching, would that be Steven Universe. You rebloged something from that on Tumblr not too long ago.
ORIO
Will Friedle does a great job. He sounds so heroic and badass. There's so much potential for a Bee vs Prime leadership plot point. GAH. I hope it gets there.
Vangelus
I totally cannot explain why Fixit's vocal glitch wore thin on me while Bumblebee's battlecry attempts did not. Something about Will Friedle's deliveries hits the right part of my brain.
Spoiler for ep364 but yeah I think it's very sad to see a show brimming with positive energy on the production end just get sacked as far as timeslot, toyline, etc
ORIO
My apologies in advance, I can't remember if this was addressed in this episode, last episode of both! But, I disagree with Vangelus about a specific joke in the new Robots in Disguise cartoon. I find Bumblebees battle cry running joke more annoying than Fixit's struggle with speaking. I look at Fixits word-trouble as a glitch, or like Grimlock, a speech impediment. A version of Tourette's, if you will. He's not dumb, nor is he portrayed as such. I don't think it was ever the intention to make him sound stupid or pander to children.
Also, I'm honestly enjoying the new cartoon. Looking at the lack of toy reveals at Botcon and SDCC, I get a very distinct vibe about RID2015: the people making the cartoon love making it. The people making the toys don't or are not allocated enough budget to do anything with. Such a shame.

You guys couldn't stop yourselves from going off topic eh…

I grew up with armada and loved Beast wars, and I don't even think i'd like those. You don't have to be a g1 fanboy to realize that the maximals in beast machines weren't exactly classic transformer designs.

I'm loving the CGI look on MP Primal. It was the best choice. What would be even better is Beast Machines MPs! I can hear the G1 fanboys screaming in agony just at the thought of those glorious neon mass-shifting works of art
Prime135
I'll be the fourth to say I'd love masterpieces with 80/90's cgi alt modes.
Renidragon
That picture looks vaguely like Nicko McBrain. Nose isn't big enough, though.
I'm joining the minority! I agree! I will totally buy a new shelf. I want a MP Beast Wars collection if they are all in the style of the 90s CGI style. Screw G1 MP! Rant! Rave!
OK, don't screw G1 MP, I actually really like the MPs I have. I plan to hang onto em. I super can't wait for Tracks and Ironhide.
If they can pull off Beast Wars toys that mimic what we saw in the show, though, man, I'd be all over that. I didn't even grow up with Beast Wars, and I'd love the hell out of that. If we could get some glossy paint on top of it all, those things would be perfect. Caveat: I don't think anyone will ever get Waspinator perfect. The Generations version was close, and then it became inexplicably prone to breaking (that part didn't even look like it should be prone to breaking!). It would be wonderful to be proven wrong, but I don't have high hopes.
I'd really be into having a new shelf of show-accurate Beast Wars cartoon-accurate MPs. Glorious 90s CGI in all its …its… lack…. of…. being modern…… I guess……. I dunno and I don't care! If I can afford it, I'm willing to go all in. If I can afford it. I'd be cool if they keep the releases to a slow drizzle, too.
Vangelus
Yep I believe it was a Zeed gang member, he was designed to look explodey, and I think either Shin or Rei came with extra parts for him to be mutilated in their own special & less-explodey ways.
Ryc03
Didn't Kaiyodo did a figure with a similar "fatality" effect with the Fist of the North Star Revoltech figures? I think one of them (probably a grunt) have his upper torso cut right in half, from top of the head to the stomach.
Silent_Magnus
I'm 100% with Vangelus when it comes to "I didn't know how much I wanted a late 90's CGI gorilla toy until I saw it", but I feel like we're in the minority.
Bring on the cats and giant bird as well I say.

I guess they where standing out to me because I'm used to the stock hands. I sold my copy of the original run because I had a phase where I only wanted to collect Generations. I ended up with the Hasbro version by dumb luck when my local TRU found a hidden copy during spring inventory.
JLvatron
"I don't think so."

Mine is the japanese original MP-10 release. I've only seen the Hasbro one once, ever, in a dealer room.

Are those TT upgrade hands on the Hasbro version of MP-10?
I'm still liking leader Megs. I plopped The G1 version on an MP shelf to sink or swim and decided to pick up the DX-9 upgrade a couple days ago.
The MK figures look good for $20. Hope they can get some other lisences for that style.
Prime135
Thanks, is it just me or would Optimus fall backwards and crush him in the next frame?
