Hisashi Yuki continues to tease us with things that are coming our way soon, this time with a look at a packaging mockup for the Unite Warriors Defensor / Guardian. Using the inner packaging tray of Superion, he’s showing us how the Takara-Tomy mall exclusive offering might look when it is packaged – and it’s a lovely layout too, showcasing all the toys and their parts.
We’ve also got a couple of other new pics of Defensor and the new, Japan exclusive mold Groove attached to this post – including a three-way comparison of the three different Grooves, Takara-Tomy, Hasbro, and original Generation 1!
Check it out attached to this post!

Couldn't find it on BBTS, but what is the size of the box for this? Have a buddy visiting from China in a month, and may have him pack one if it isn't going to be a pain. Thanks in advance.

I will be using my christmas $ to pay for this set. I love that it has groove.

I wonder if someone could digibash the stripes painted onto UW Hotspot/Defensor. Its the one thing I really hate about this set. But the blue is so much nicer than the Hasbro one!
Type-R
Yup, case of 4. With each individual box having its own shipper box.

I should add if it's not been noted that the Black paint on Hot Spot is matte and not glossy like on the Hasbro version. That to me looks so much better in my opinion. And the chest shield is molded blue and the black is painted.

I hope that sturdiness stays for the inevitable G2 version. Good to know they fixed it for this release.

This Hot Spot and combined mode is so much sturdier than the Hasbro Hot Spot and Combined mode my Son's toy is, even when new when I first opened his up I was like…man, I hope the Takara isn't going to be this damn loose and floppy. Glad he isn't.
He doesn't lean forward at all just as the review said, so that's a damn good improvement. He stands completely upright.
He looks good as is, but for those who prefer complete symmetry, you may want to use Groove as a leg with Blades, me, I don't like how the hood of the Truck / SUV mode looks stuck up over the knee so I don't want First Aid as a Leg. But, to me, he looks fine in default mode with Groove and Streetwise as Legs.

Yeah, that was what I meant in my second post.

Groove isn't back heavy, at least mine isn't he has heals that stick out.
I was surprised about the actual box too, but I guess they don't come in cases of more than one. Also had no idea it was coming with the coin.

I'm guessing since they had to go through Hasbro Asia, the coin was thrown in along with the set. UW Superion/Menasor they probably were able to get direct from Japan, hence no coin.
Mewtwo
Yeah I was thinking about that as I posted. That is probably it. But then you'd think since the TT Mall Exclusive is Japan they wouldn't have the (Hasbro Asia) coin.
So what it really must be is that since it's TT Mall Exclusive and BBTS is getting theirs from the Asia version instead (since the TT one is limited in Japan) then that is why it's coming with the Hasbro Asia Coin. Whereas the other sets BBTS IS getting from Japan and not Asia and hence don't come with the coins. Which sucks… cause now I have two sets with no coins…
ma70er
Maybe since this is a TT Mall exclusive?
