For those who have subscribed to the Transformers Subscription Service 3.0, check your mailboxes as the second figure from this set is arriving now! Who is joining Carzap? Is it Tarantulas? Serpent O.R? The second figure arriving is … Nacelle! If you’re wondering who Nacelle is, Nacelle is based on a Japanese catalog image that showed a new set of colored Seeker wings attached to unaltered Seeker bodies from the first series of Decepticon Seekers. Another Seeker to add to the collection!

Hey, sorry to resurrect an old thread but was there ever any variation among the Nacelle figures that were sent out?
I just recently purchased Nacelle (along with SG Thundercracker) from a seller overseas, and mine is a little bit different than all the official pics I've seen. As you can see in the attached pics, my figure's air intake/shoulder area is silver (rather than being painted blue), and the underside of the wings is all white (rather than being painted red). I'm also lacking the stickers that cover the 4 screws on top of jet mode, and the paint job is of questionable quality in places (particularly on one of the arm cannons, which is significantly poorer when compared to the other arm cannon). Is it possible that mine is a KO version (were there ever any KO's of Nacelle made??), a prototype, or even a "lunchbreak" version?
Oddly enough, my main wing joints and rear side tailfins were all assembled correctly, unlike the rest of the postings that I read in this thread (did anybody else receive one that wasn't misassembled?)…! (see last pic)
Any help would be greatly appreciated…!
PS – My SG Thundercracker seems to be ok, but I kinda wonder about it as well since it likely came from the same source as my Nacelle. I can provide pictures of this figure too if anyone's interested…

After calling a couple weeks ago, they're sending me a new torso. apparently the contact us form on the website is currently/was broken.
mrduce1018
Give them a call instead of emailing them. I have had nothing but awesome customer service from them, via the phone. Give it a shot.

Almost a month later I still haven't gotten a reply to my customer service requests CC: Missing a pectoral turbine. Anyone want to knock the pin out and send me one from theirs?
griffin-of-oz
I got mine in the mail today and it has the same problems as everyone else… including the loose wings, which explains why the mold is being retired – not because they want to (as Redwing probably would have been next), but it is just wearing out too fast.
I wonder if that means FunPub have got some people now knocking out all the wing pins and swapping over the connectors before sending out Gen2 Starscream later.
Surely if Hasbro provides FunPub a faulty product (two actually), FunPub would be entitled to a partial refund for not getting the product or services they are paying for… and if they did get a refund/credit, would they pass it onto people who got these toys because they were also not getting what they paid for, but FunPub is just the middleman for those products (and are not liable for blame, unless they knew about the faults before they sent them out and didn't warn people or give them the choice to still want the product).
Krayt
I got mine in Australia and emailed Funpub before i found this thread… they said they are shipping me out a "good" nacelle to replace my stupidly wing hinged one.

I bet if you asked somewhere else (Not gonna name who), you'd get an answer.
After all this place has a banner that makes it sound like they've got the Official Club Forums now, of course it's just the way they've phrased it, and what they mean is that they have a club forum dedicated to the Official Club. It's just that a rep of the club choses that as their preferred site/forum to reveal things.
When will we get our Official Club Forums back???
Thundershot
Yes. It would be nice if they acknowledged it, even if there's nothing they can do. As I said before though, if they KNOWINGLY send out Starscream without fixing or giving people some kind of opt out option (let's face it, I, and many members would accept Starscream anyway), it's not a very cool move.

I can't say I'm happy with how expensive these are that they haven't outright addressed this with their customers considering that it looks like every single one of them is messed up. They can however proceed with charging the 2nd portion of their fees for the upcoming figures.

So I got mine, I fixed the tail fins, messed up the white paint on the front of the leg a little but that is easy enough to fix, not even going to try to fix the wings though. Firstly I doubt my skills secondly wings down in robot mode doesn't look bad and it doesn't limit the arm movement with the null rays attached. I agree if starscream is messed up like this I will be pissed.

Yea, that part was a halfway joke (or full-on joke) to reply to the statement that we should have expected it with it being the last uses of the mold. Mis-assembly of the figures has nothing to do with mold use (at least that I can think of).
Lumpy
not necessarily. Are these made in Vietnam like mainline Hasbro stuff? Cuz the original uses of this mold were Chinese production. Also, you're assuming the same staff has held the same job for nearly a decade, which is possible but not probable.

After Nacelle and the SDCC Dinobots, I'm beginning to wonder if the packaging term "Adult Collectable" Is now being used as a disclaimer for – "It's fragile and may break, or some parts may require correction".

Used the form, as well as emailed the club with no response. Used Hasbro's chat, and she said they would escalate the issue (or something like that), I will follow up with them, because they haven't contacted me back since then.
So, because it is the last use we should have expected that it be mis-assembled? That is silly. I could understand that logic if it were mold flash or loose joints. If anything, after assembling it 31 different times, the workers should be able to do it in their sleep by now.

My Nacelle arrived in the mail today. Same old story, both misassembly errors, oversized wing decals and the white paint apps on his shins aren't particularly good either. Fixed his tailfins in <5 min, the main wings will be a bit of a challenge. Shaving the joints down will be the last resort, but once they're fixed then I'll be satisfied with this figure. Of the 13 Club figures that I've owned, Nacelle alone had significant issues, so hopefully there won't be any more fuck ups after Starscream.
Execution aside I really like him, though I wish we could get the other two variations to complete the trio. But this mold deserves to be retired. It's served above and beyond the call of duty. Hopefully the next Deluxe jet design takes weapon clearance into account.
Edgewise
You can't buy this current subscription anymore. And with different line-ups, different size classes included, and changing costs, the price is likely to fluctuate each year. The price for next year's has not been announced.
That said, I *think* each sub has been in the $250-$300 ballpark.
Knightsword
Not that I'm aware of, but Pete did post about the never using this mold again, so I took that as a fare warning that there were going to be issues with the two toys ahead of time.
Lumpy
Has anyone actually called Funpub or Hasbro to talk to them about these issues?
OriginalFire
This is perfect. Thanks
