“Transformers: Windblade #4
MORE WORLDS—MORE PROBLEMS! After the events of COMBINERS WARS, WINDBLADE and STARSCREAM race to recruit the lost CYBERTRONIAN colonies to the Council of Worlds—but which of them will control the fate of Cybertron?”

I have to agree. I was planning on redo the art when I have the time
Aerialbot CMDR
Not impressed by the art in this issue. They really need to get more consistent and better art on this book.

Dammit! Get well soon Stone! (and come back to us).
Yes, I hope that happens! Moonracer is my favourite female Transformers character since the first time I saw The Secret of Alpha Trion as a kid.
I kind of would prefer an Arcee retool but I also want Paradron medics and Moonracer and Paradron medics in the same mold would look very similar :/
WilyMech
The classic BattleStar Galactica had a similar theme. If you follow the Zodiac signs you get the colonies plus Earth makes 13.

if windblade was a bit more cunning she'd have complimented knockout on his finish. seeing her as someone with exquisite taste knockout would have known she was the trust worthy one 9_9.
also, 13 primes 13 titans … that sort of seems borrowed from animated that a prime was in charge of each of the omega supreme type ships that ended the war.
and the colony worlds … im loving the cybertron/galaxy force route this could take. just please no macguffins, and endless races.

This comic book can't decide if it'll be G1 or TFA. Now keep wondering why the sales are declining.

Oddly enough that's the same viewpoint I have with Windblade in RID15 since aside from some minor detail changes it's just her IDW design just thrown in without any change at all. Also oddly enough I don't think the same as much as with KO here probably because the art here has a very Animated/Prime/RID15 style going on which makes it that way. I'm sure in the future some other artist like Milane or Gudi will make KO pretty different from how he looked in Prime.

Isn't Moonracer's alt-mode a car similar to Knock Out's, then I can see it being a remould of Prime's Knock Out.

Same.

Howell's the artist on the book for the foreseeable future, Stone mentioned on Tumblr that she hadn't been feeling well lately.

Very unfitting art. No offence to the artist, she seems talented but it looks too jokey/kiddiefied to fit IDWs G1esque continuity in my opinion.
She is just filling in for Stone right? Or has Stone left the franchise? I hope she'll be back.
Megastar
I'm looking forward to that!

If Moonracer gets a Prime Arcee retool I hope it is as well done as Chromia…

I see moonracer is another goddamn PRID arcee repaint/tool. Unyay.

I'm beginning to think that Windblade just isn't for me. This art feels kind of awkward and nothing about this story interests me, which is strange because I loved the colony worlds back in Cybertron. In terms of characters we have Windblade who lacks any defining character traits now that her naivety is gone, Chromia, who we're supposed to forgive, and Starscream, who once again lacks all of the charm Barber developed him with. Knockout was my favourite character in Prime, but it feels a little self-indulgent to use him after his story's already been told from front to back. I just don't feel like I have anyone to root for in this comic, or to even love to hate.
I mean, I'm hard on Barber for his poor portrayels of complex characters like Prowl and his wonky dialogue, but at least he has the ideas and characters like Arcee and Galvatron keep me interested. I'm not sure if it's just the art, but this preview does nothing for me.

I guess it doesn't really bother me that they did that. As for the stylistic change… you might have seen that with a different artist, but this artist strikes me as having a very Prime/Animated vibe going for their art style. Even the regular characters look off and are heavily stylized here so color me interested to see how another IDW artist tackles Knock Out and Moonracer. Like I said though; I'm not personally bothered by it, but to each his own if you are.
Well, we'd have to replace Megatron with Override in this continuity, but yeah I get what you mean. I look forward to what comes from this.
WilyMech
As long as it is not like that time when Megatron is there Knock Out complains that Ex Decepticon Leader likes Starscream better. Keep Knock Out away from Earth but then again he may find Horror Movies on Cybertron from some Mech showing them. LOL. Either way it will be fun.
SPLIT LIP
Why does everyone look so squished? Like the page was stretched upwards.
I agree.
That's exactly why it's boring. It's just his Prime design, unchanged, shoved into IDW. I would've liked it to be redesigned in any way. It's like usually when charatcers are adapted for IDW, they get some kind of design tweak or stylistic change. Not so here. It's lazy.
Laser_Optimus
That's what I'm thinking too. She's looking at him like "What?!". If Knock Out and Starscream have their Prime banter I'm all for it. Moonracer becoming pals with Windblade and, by extension, Chromia is almost a given. Hope we get to see Override soon (and that design lead this a new toy) and I wouldn't mind if we got to see Clocker, Brakedown, Crumplezone, Ransack and Dirt Boss at some point.
I don't know. I think it's pretty spot on for how he looked in Prime.
kaijuguy19
Knock-out's still his old self which is always a good thing. I hear his Darren Norris voice too.
