TakraTomy is set to release a series of Transformers Kreon Microchangers. According to Autobase Aichi, these will be single packa figures. Forum member bigkid24 shared the news and states that these look to be capsule style releases. No word yet on if these will be in capsule vending machines or sold in stores. These are scheduled for release in August. Included are the following:
- Jetfire
- Trailbreaker
- Sunstreaker
- Seaspray
- Highbrow
- Gears
- Wheelie
- Wingspan
- Skalor
- Mindwipe
- Misfire
- Trypticon

i so want a damn sunstreaker but i hate the damn blind bags i think ive blown like $50 at least

Here you go:
The Gacha Kreons are simply the Hasbro Custom Kreons, minus all the accessories bar the translucent helmet and one gun.

Sunstreaker and Trailbreaker look terrible IMO. They look like straight up repaints of Wheeljack and Beachcomber, not just reusing the parts but swapped with others.

lol You said "thumbanil" instead of "thumbnail" in the article. Just pointing it out

Oh snap! I thought their translucent bumblebee gashapon had different tampographs I didn't think.Hasbro did tampographs on his legs and upper arms. You may wanna double check as takara slapped two autobot symbols on his shoulders and did real detail work to their legs and upper body. I may wanna check too as I could be wrong. I'll find out ; )

The fancier Kreons of Prime, 'Bee, Megatron and Starscream from the previous set of Gacha Kreons aren't something Takara created – they're identical to Hasbro's 'Custom Kreon' releases of the characters, sans all the extra pieces.
These new ones will no doubt also be identical to their Hasbro releases.
As noted above, these are all taken from the two AOE waves of Micro-Changers. The excluded figures are:
– Fangwolf (Cybertron Snarl)
– Jarugar (Victory Jallguar)
– Nightbeat (G1 Punch)
– Silversnout (original movie Dinobot)
– Skrapnel (G1 Zaptrap)
– Torosaur (original movie Dinobot)
– Decepticon Blackarachnia (BW season 1 Blackarachnia)
– Frostbite (original movie Dinobot)
– Fuselage (G1 Octane)
– Decepticon Runamuck (G1 Runamuck)
– Scattershot (Universe Airazor)
– Skimmer (original movie Dinobot)

That's one way of looking at it OR some may look at it like these are different toys completely since the paint is done up.well and also has paint maps on their arms and legs ect. I can see takara doing things like longer pegs for more secure figures and more plastic colors so all in all these may be a lot better. Look at bumblebee and prime from takara, they have badges on Primes shoulder's and details on legs like bumblebees vwbug feet screened on ans look at scalor he looks pretty sweet.
I like the look so far
Edit; oops paint aps lol

I'm kind of surprised Takara didn't go out of their way to G1-ify these up like they usually do… especially since in this case all it would mean would be changing the chest paint pattern. Eh, anyway, will be interested to see if the guys with swapped faction badges (it was Misfire and… uh, Seaspray, I think? Can't recall.) get those fixed.

Just when I was thinking about selling all my Kre-O stuff…

If Misfire have proper badge, I will buy him.

Oh my gosh, that's a super-adorable little Skalor!
Starscream Gaga
Seems to be AOE Wave 1 and 2, minus any non-G1 character (with a few G1s missing too).
Guess it's a new opportunity for some of the people that missed out on Wave 2 to get some of the figures.

Give me that Mindwipe!

I don't think this has been reported yet but in Japan, Takara is releasing a series of Microchangers. I don't keep up with these but I think some of these haven't been released here. This series of 12 figures will be out in August. These are going to be capsule style so if you see these in person there's a chance that you might actually be able to determine which figure you're getting….assuming you're not actually getting them out of a capsule machine.
