Super pumped about bruticus
Bnz Toy
Oh well, still looking forward to Bruticus, still with hope… although Probe is right, I can't see how the HotSpot mold will change much.
Probe
Hot Spot is almost definitly going to be retooled to Onslaught. So don't expect much difference in proportion.
Slingshot
That's kind of what most of the G1 combiners look like…
I get the hate for Defensor, but Menasor is actually the best of the first two Combiners in my opinion.
Bnz Toy
He gets it.
Yes, they are, but clearly we saw them in the cartoons proportionate to the human body. Other than Superion, all the other combiners look like they just fell on the pommel horse with their legs spread. To each his own, but I would really hope Bruticus doesn't look like that.
Afterburner
Yeah, I don't think some bit of awkwardness to the proportion is bad as long as the robot doesn't look puffy or derpy. The articulation is there and the proportions are reasonable. They look dynamic. That is all you should expect from a robot line. These aren't and never should be Marvel Legends.
unicronic
Defensor looks fine.
Let's not forget that these are techno-organic aliens and not humans.
Urizen123
I… wow. Yeah, I'm pretty sure Bnz Toy meant "correct" in terms of being proportionate. I sincerely doubt his "one great hope" is for Bruticus to be packing some extra firepower down below.
Prime135
Uhhh… the only gestault that was ever anatomically correct was RoTF Devastator (who technically wasn't a gestault cause all the constructicons were like 3 miles away when his component vehicles combined), and we all saw how great that worked out.
Bnz Toy
I have one great hope for Bruticus: Please be anatomically correct. Up until now Superion is the only CW gestalt that doesn't look like a complete mess.
Mishap
I don't disagree. That would have been my first guess before Cyclonus came along. Still on my short list.
Re-shelling on top of retooling adds a whole lot of possibilities. Crazy as it sounds, you could probably make a new Scattershot and re-tool it as Hungrrr. Jet thrusters turned into monster heads. Jet nosecone turned into monster tail. The retooling part involves repositioning the main body mass in the two different modes.
While I'm mentioning candidates for Hungrrr, look at last year's Brainstorm figure and tell me that couldn't be retooled into a nice two-headed beast.
Wheeljack_Prime
Not to mention that that's literally the only panel where that design even vaguely matches up with OP. That's an aberration, not a hint.
It's boxy and has two wheels on each leg. That's it people.
Nevermore
Hey, has anyone seen the dancing Soundwave?
Jalaguy
I think we can be reasonably confident at this stage that Soundwave and Blaster will be Leader Class figures. The Legends listings we've seen feature Buzzsaw but not Laserbeak and Stripes but not Ravage, so it's pretty clear that Soundwave and co. will be at a price point big enough to have one (or two?) tapes packed in with them.
doomtron
Probably a minority but id like to see Soundwave as limb for galvatronus
Jalaguy
Yup, but that hasn't stopped people trotting out that image every other week…
BattleUpSaber
Didn't the artist already confirm this was a coincidence?
Basilisk
Yeah I forgot about Cheetor lmfao
I keep seeing people say Galvatron? That toy's only real flaw is it's size and that's not something I hold against a toy.
unicronic
Rook into Soundwave would be fine, however a voyager would be better especially when voyagers are coming thick and fast.
soundwaverulls
I really, really hope this does not happen. We've waited so long for a Classics Soundwave, it was be a massive disappointment if he ended up a retool that can't even hold his minions. Thankfully this likely won't happen, as that's just a badly drawn version of the Earth form he's had since Earth Fall, which usually doesn't look that much like Optimus in robot mode, and looks nothing like him in Vehicle mode.
As for Rook into Soundwave… Don't even joke about that.
