Once again thanks to our Boards member OptimusJet for digging this brand new clip from Transformers 4 Age of Extinction. It’s centered around Mark Wahlberg’s Cade and Jack Reynor’s Shane while they’re having an awkward yet stressfull ”talk”. Check it out below.

i think its funny, good light humor that i'll take over any Simmons scene.
only problem i have with it is that the guy has an Irish accent. it's random, like Bay liked the guy's headshot and stuck him in the film.
visuals over a story.
SPLIT LIP
I can only imagine how this scene would've been with the previous film's casts. Shane's actually supposed to be hyper-ventilating here and he's still not as speed-ridden as Shia was half the time.

Can anyone type what they said, cause even when I turned up the volume I didn't understand since they were almost whispering… which makes sense XD
I only know Cade is asking Shane about something, that happened a month ago, being all over-protective ofc and at the end that he's literally gonna kill him
Grim Muk
And lo .. the mantra of the 'super-mation info-highway'
Brilliant scene, as it's been said before, they're in this potentially life or death situation and Cade's top priority? Busting the kid .. brilliant.
For the few folk who think it's a silly scene, chances are you've never been involed in a conversation like that, trust me, they've pretty much nailed it. I was also given the 'opportunity' to come clean, all the while Protectodad knew full well what was going on …. damned lose/lose psychology!

If we are getting well written dialogue like this in the film…and it us acted well as this scene was, I think we might be treated to the first "actually good" Transformers Movie!
That scene was really well done.
[Wing_Saber-X]
that was LOL – funny.
Watching the movie tomorrow night here in KL!

Yep. This scene brings back memories of my dad dragging my dates into the garage and giving them "the talk ." They always came out of that garage looking like a deer in headlights.
Was furious about it then, but find those memories funny now.

This kind of parallels Sam's situation with his goofy parents checking his room due to hearing strange noises. When the parents see a beautiful girl in their son's room, they're happy and proud. It sort of illustrates the double standards of how society values their daughters remaining pure, innocent. But for their sons, not so much.
If a young girl has sex, she's a whore but if a young guy has sex, he's congratulated and more of a man.
I'm not trying to stir up a debate. I just think it's funny to see in these movies.
Purple Heart
No it's not. Shane is just lucky Cade isn't to imposing.
I have worse… Much worse…
Bumblebee765
Wait, you can't?

Caught my eye too. It's definitely a 70's F-body, but the rear end is tapered with some sort of cap that makes it look like a 63 Stingray. So there's no way to tell if it started life as a Camaro or as a Firebird.
And yes I'd like to see more.
Shark
Now that's funny!
Purple Heart
I would laugh… But I've been in this spot and it's not fun.
Man, I feel you Shane.
(Minus the guards with guns of course)
Fallout
if you haven't been in this position by 18 you ain't livin right
Mirimus
Probably the most enjoyable, quiet exchange I've seen in these movies…Wahlberg really sells it.

There is a reason optimus is so different. He didnt just decide out of the blue "I think I'll lose all my faith in humanity and be less forgiving". The optimus we are getting, from what we have seen, is a strong bot who has witnessed what's left of his world destroyed, his oldest friends killed, and he has been severely injured, but you know, that's not a good reason to change or be interesting at all right?
Timothy.R
yeah, i thought it was funny as well.. i can't wait for this. i like wahlberg sooo much better than shia already.
OhMyPrimus
Been in this situation before so i can relate. I think that's what they're going for. People being able to make that connection with the human cast. Cause really how many of us can relate to the autobots being able to transform and shoot cool weapons that come out of our bodies?
MegsLITTLE
I sat there laughing my ass off; Mark Wahlberg is freakin hysterical in that scene lol
Scorpio
I can understand its intentions and how it should be funny, but it just isn't to me. It doesn't work as humour for me given at this stage in the film the Autobots have been murderer and their is Cade messing around getting Shane to confess to fucking his daughter. I mean it just doesn't fit with the rest of the movie.
Fixed
Also you are incorrect – many reviews have stated the Transformers are either a complete 180 on their prior versions (Optimus), stereotypes (Drift) or simply assholes (Crosshairs)
