Coming via the official Transformers Facebook page, we have a really fun and downright cool reveal by Hasbro. In celebration of Earth Day, Hasbro has partnered with Waste Management to release the exclusive Decepticon Junkheap.
Fans might recognize this figure from the background of the third live action film Dark of the Moon when the Decepticons space-bridged to Earth for their final attack. Many collectors have often said how cool it would be to have a design of the garbage truck character and now we’ll have it!
Junkheap will be a part of the Power Battler toy line and will be released this fall.
Let us know what you think after the jump! In celebration of Earth Day, we’ve partnered with Waste Management to bring you an exclusive reveal of a new toy based on a character from Transformers: Age of Extinction — Junkheap. Power Battler Junkheap features a crushing attack claw that when activated can turn Autobots into scrap! Look for this figure on shelves this fall.

Is there a link on Entertainment Earth for it….im looking and dont see the case?
Nevermind, found it….sold out….damn!
TFXProtector
Doubt it will. It's been available at Entertainment Earth and on eBay through the Seibertron.com store, but those are the only two sources so far. There are none on eBay, even from Asian sources and he's packed one per case.
Chances are, unless you buy the case for $100.00+ you're not likely to get one. At least not right now.

I saw a picture review of this figure today…any idea when it will be in retail? My son likes transformers and waste management trucks….this is perfect for him.

I was just wondering what's the Robot Mode in this toy looks like.
Roadblock1977
I was wondering about this myself. I guess we can finally get another Garbage Truck Transformer.

Advertising this as an exclusive partnership, however, does.
All the other reports I've read have stated that it was just the Dinobots. No offence to the TFW news team, but they aren't infallible. That said, even if that statement is correct, there is still no proof that this guy will be in the movie.
I honestly don't see how it's a big deal at all. For Hasbro this announcement is more about the pertnership than the toy itself. They gave him a name because it would be odd for them to be revealling a toy without one.
Am I though? I'm not speaking to this situation when I say this, but there have been several times, even on this site, when I get the impression that I'm not entitled to have my own opinions. Though this is a disscussion for another time, and probably for a more private form of communication…
It's not about being right, it's about finding out the truth.
I'll have to go back and re-read the listings, but weren't they said to be all-new molds? I want to say there was something that definitively linked them to the Hasbro listings for Slog and Snarl…
Vaikyuko
For Earth Day, sure. Time will tell.
The fact that they're pushing more gimmick lines means that showcasing him as a gimmick line character isn't the same thing as saying "this is the only version of him that will be released".
Toy Fair 2014 – Hasbro Transformers Panel – Transformers News – TFW2005
Look down where it says "Generations Wave 2" – it explicitly says Hasbro plans everyone in the film to get the Generations treatment. So if they don't get a toy at all, fair enough, but if they do, it's logical to consider they might get the toy in various forms, not just one thing that is explicitly not Generations.
What I meant was that when seemingly more important characters like the Sonic aren't named, and it took forever to get Galvatron's name even though he's an obvious major player (same with Stinger), plus the legion of unnamed or pointlessly random Decepticons, him getting a name and a toy as opposed to just a name is a bigger deal. I didn't literally mean they'd release a nameless toy.
True, we don't. I would be hard pressed to think it isn't, though, given the way it keeps getting marketed and some of the filming sequences.
And you are totally entitled to your opinion, and this is what I was gonna say – waiting and seeing is pretty much the only way any of us will be right about anything, haha.
Not necessarily, tony. Don't forget that Takara also has a number of exclusive redecos and in one or two cases fairly notable retools like Dispensor and Dino/Mirage. Just because they indicated it was a Dinobot doesn't necessarily mean the US Voyager is one. There's also the possibility that in some ungodly strange way Junkheap becomes a Dinobot, but that would just be silly.
tonyformer
The other un-named voyager has already been confirmed by Takara as a Dinobot so that eliminates it from being Scapheap. The voyager Dinobot is more than likely Slog.
Ravenxl7
Because the way this was announced makes it sound, to me at least, that this is a one-off thing.
What does that have to do with any of this?
Did they? The closest thing to that statement that I ever saw come out of all the Toy Fair coverage was that all the Dinobots in he movie would be getting figures in the AoE Generations line. That said, I'm not convinced that this guy will even be in the new movie.
Of course he's named. They're not going to release a toy without a name.
We still don't even know if the Sonic is even a Transformer, and as for Bumblebee, him getting more than one Deluxe figure in this line was inevitable.
I honestly don't think it is. That said, let's just wait and see.
FanimusMaximus
So that's his head in the purple section, he looks like the Sinanju.
Vaikyuko
If it's any consolation I thought the same thing early on, not that many hopped on that bandwagon. I can't help but buy into it given they're screen characters and Hasbro explicitly told us all the onscreen characters would get the Generations treatment. Takara's listing doesn't necessarily discount that.
Why would you be sure of that? They're pushing the gimmicky lines hard because they know we'll buy the Generations product. Hardly anything for Generations has been pushed into the limelight as they know collectors do half their advertising for them in that regard. Further, see above: Hasbro outright stated we'd get Generations treatment for all movie characters when they were interviewed at Toy Fair. The fact that the guy is even named says something, considering we don't have a name for certain guys like the Sonic and we all know full well Bumblebee's new mode is getting a toy too. It's very possible.

I'd like to agree with HeroicC300, mostly 'cause I'm feeling optimistic.
Ravenxl7
What gives you the impression that they'll be making a Voyager figure for Junkheap? By the sounds of it, I'm sure that the Power Battler will be the only figure they do of him.
HeroicC300
I meant for the Generations stuff.
Ravenxl7
The problem with that theory is that the Junkheap figure isn't a Voyager class figure. It's not even a Generations AoE figure for that matter. It's one of the Power Battlers, aka these:
AOE Power Battlers Toys – Transformers Movie 4 Age of Extinction – TFW2005
There's also the Takara listings for an unknown Voyager Dinobot and an unknown Deluxe Dinobot. Both of which are most likely the Takara versions of the Slog and Snarl figures from Hasbro's listings.
HeroicC300
Did everyone ignore my post stating that Slog and Snarl could be Junkheap and the Vehicon?
toaprime
Because we are optimistic lol! In all seriousness, I wonder if they would be able to remold the Sonic into a semi-decent Trax.
Lazerwave
Leadfoot is defiantly a new mold exclusive, but the only reason they did that is because Leadfoot has the Target logo, but with the past times they released Exclusives that are not new molds why should there be hope that there will be new mold exclusives for AOE?
toaprime
Then HA Leadfoot. The only semi-good Leadfoot that was actually released.
Lazerwave
1) Because they were made in Japan and released first in Japan, So it wouldn't count as a new mold because it was released before.
2) I'm only counting Movie figures.
