On a recent interview by Sixx Sense with Chester Bennington; the lead vocalist of Linkin Park, it was hinted that the band would return for Transformers: Age Of Extinction.
Chester Bennington said “We’ve been very fortunate; working with the Transformers Franchise. It’s been great for us”. “Transformers [4] is coming out this summer and it makes total sense for us to be a part of that as well. So, [we are] looking forward to [see] how that’s going to unfold” continued Mr. Bennington.
Their new single; “Guilty All The Same” from the upcoming album is officially on You Tube right now. You can listen to it, after the jump. Stick with TFW2005 for the latest Transformers 4 news… first.

I'm fine with lP staying. It's Michael Bay who needs to leave

They had really good songs for the first two. I'm cool with this

Love it or hate it, these songs are good for the movies. The first 2 movie songs both charted really high (#1 on several music charts and in the top 25 in just about every major country music charts), the third movie song didn't have quite as good of success. These songs helped sell a lot of soundtrack albums.
So many people just want their favorite song/band on the soundtrack, even if it doesn't work, or would not help sell albums.
This is a major motion picture, Hasbro/Paramount is going to go with the most successful route. Popular director, popular band, popular actors, these all help get people into the theater seats. This isn't an independent film where a studio can take risks.
G.I. Joe movies had the same kind of history and fan base and yet didn't do nearly as well as Transformers. Pacific Rim had giant robots and a very talented director and also didn't do as well as Transformers.

Me too, my favorite theme was when Optimus was fighting in the forest I'm ROTF.

I like Linkin Park (at least in their early years) and am glad to learn they are back.

I love you so much.
I'm glad to see they're coming back for this movie. My only wish is that they'd do more with their music. Revenge of the Fallen had the right idea with the the track NEST but Dark of the Moon severely underused a track that would have been perfect for that disaster movie feel it was going for.
Livingdeaddan
Fair enough! Although I don't know where I've been I'll-formed, but whatever.
Livingdeaddan
Hmm you might be right.. I haven't been writing a book about it (although it's starting to feel like it ) I think the first movie did, but maybe ROTF didn't, just as well, that had the worse song of the 3! I still think my point stands because the association exists beyond the trailers, but yeah I should probably get my facts straight before I mouth off about!
NotRamjet97
Does anyone even watch the credits?
Smashs
Nope, not at all. Different opinions bring new material. I mean the people FREAKING out over something like this. It's hilarious, to me, that people sit and rage about it.
edit: I used to even let myself get pissed about ill-informed opinions like yours, but anymore? Pfffft, who cares. People will come to the conclusions they want to come to, no matter what. And honestly, IDGAF.
Livingdeaddan
By haters, do you mean people with opinions different to yours?
Livingdeaddan
Haha, right!

Just remember kids, EVERY band is dog shit to someone.

I'm so happy I've come to a place in my life where I can sit back and laugh at the haters.
