Entertainment Earth has listed some new Transformers merchandise which is slated to be released in March 2014 in time for the 30th anniversary of the franchise. Hasbro licensee Goldie International will be producing a series of minifigures which cover three distinct eras of Transformers history in the first assortment – Generation 1, the Movies, and Transformers Prime.
There are three different assortments listed –
30th anniversary minifigure single packs – the character assortment here includes Generation 1 Optimus Prime, Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave and Ratchet, Movie Optimus Prime, Megatron, Starscream, Ratchet and Sentinel Prime, and Transformers Prime Optimus Prime, Megatron, Starscream, Ratchet and Bulkhead.
30th anniversary minifigure three packs – these focus on single characters in their three incarnations from Generation 1, the Movies, and Transformers Prime, and will include three packs of Optimus Prime, Megatron, Starscream and Ratchet.
Lastly there are 30th anniversary minifigure five packs which are said to each focus on a particular era, with a Generation 1 five pack, a Movie series five pack and a Transformers Prime five pack announced. We’d imagine these will collect the five characters from each era released as single packs although no names are given on the listings.
There are no pictures available as yet, but with Toy Fair 2014 coming up shortly, Hasbro and their licensees might show off some more at that time.

Sorry, I wasn't really specifically pointing at you, but several people in the thread have said "blind packs" when the listing says "blister packs." I quoted you for clarity, and to explain what a blister pack was.

Sounds interesting. Love me the little figures… look forward to seeing pics.
Fishdirt
Right. I never said anything about fact or reading into anything. I went from the front page announcement to here. The article mentions no blister pack and I read the whole thing.
Now semantics and nitpicking aside I do like the concept of the puzzle figure. Reminds me of the Ghost in The Shell blind box puzzle figure.
BenjaminXavier
They won't be. The listing says "Blister packed" which means a flat card with a bubble, like how TF Deluxes and Cyberverse are packaged.
People read the half the article then post without really paying attention, just how people hear half a news story in real life then go off about it without knowing all the facts.
Fishdirt
I didn't read that. I'm guessing , because of the price point, that they will be. Makes more sense from a sales pov. Why show what people are getting for 3 bucks a pop when you can make more with them spending until they get them all?
Ravenxl7
Where are people reading that these will be blind bagged at? Seen a couple of people say that now.
LegendAntihero
I'll buy them since they come with 3D cards.

Yikes. Uh oh. "Mini Figures"/ Blind Bags harolded in the End of the good My Little Pony toy era… No decent "deluxe" figures, no variety, the same 6 figures…over and over .. the only variety there is in "mini figures", which stink. I hope that doesn't happen here. Just sayin…

I asked if we would see their stuff at Toyfair, here's the reply:
BenjaminXavier
I was thinking more specifically about getting all the seekers, but you're right.

Cool
Hollywood Hoist
I think most fans will hope for not a whole lot of needless repaints or the same character from the same continuity done over and over again.
I would like to see a wide variety of characters, but of course they need to get the most out of the moulds they have.

UPDATE!
I asked this on their facebook page:
And here's their reply:
So I'm guess we'll see them at Toyfair, but after seeing that the price point lines up with the Mario figures and now a sort-of confirmation from the company (I'm sure there's a date they can't reveal them before), I'd assume they're pretty close to the little mario guys.
Still, if done well they might be pretty awesome. And the Mario figures get tons of repaints (I have 6-7 different colored Yoshis) we might get quite the collection over the next few years.
Fishdirt
My guess is vinyl figs, like the sdcc, but blind bagged. Pony BBs do well for them yet they have yet to capture that with TF Kreo so I'm thinking they might try to do as with the ponies. For that price I doubt they are hard plastic and transform. My guess anyway and pure speculation.
Ratchets Hatch
You can never have too much Ratchet.
Personally, I love little one piece mini-statues. But Robot Heroes style articulation would be nice too.
Mah bro.
You cannot judge the whole show based on Predacons Rising. Nothing in Predacons Rising made a lick of sense because it was shoehorned in purely to sell more toys.

I hope so too, those were addicting.
Huh, interesting. Good digging.

In your opinion. I could list a bunch of reasons why in my opinion the Baymovies are 'legitimately not good', that doesn't make the opinions of anyone who likes them invalid.
In total agreement with Hollywood Hoist with regards to the ending.
Hollywood Hoist
I personally thought that was a great ending. It gives Megatron more character, than just being evil for the sake of being evil.
Hollywood Hoist
It says they come with a puzzle piece that forms a 3d puzzle. That will probably be Bumblebee.
Biotoakid
no prim was like legitimately not good like megatron literally walked away because he didnt like being told what to do by unicorn so he said oh well i guess im not evil and left like thats literally how the show ended
