Whenever a Transformers Live Action Movie is being made ET (Entertainment Tonight) is sure to be there. ET Specials for Transformers Movies has become a norm now and Transformers: Age Of Extinction is no exception.
For the fourth movie, ET aired their Part 1 of a Two Part special and a brief clip is now available online. The clip can be described as such: “Baysplosions! Baysplosions!! Baysplosions!!!”
Oh, did we mention… the Reporter may have accidentally revealed the Robot Name of Pagani Huayra? (at 1:49 of the clip)

Dude I AM a Bayverse hater but at least I try to have some CONSISTENCY about it.
These types of things are just…wut?!

Well, speaking for myself at least, I think where my disappointment comes in the most is when you look at the live action films as compared to other live action superhero movies (especially TF's closest sibling, GI Joe) you find that the staff/directors go out of their ways to at least make sure that the characters come from some version of source material. Sure, their personalities might be a little bit different, or the character line ups might be different from previous iterations of the series, but the names at least names that already existed in those greater multiverses.
Also, you look at Hasbro's cross-functional marketing scheme and see how a character like Knockout was almost certainly meant to be a pre-movie set up for a Decepticon car, but rather than call the live action version Knockout, which would be easiest for kids coming from the show to the movies to understand, they go with Stinger? Same with Bulkhead. It's not terrible that they want to call him Hound, but that alt mode screams Bulkhead.
So sorry, I agree that it's nice to add TF characters here and there, and maybe he'll be really awesome on screen, but I just think it's a little careless to just slap on a new name when there's not really a good business reason to do so.

Ughh, my thoughts exactly.
tonyformer
Indeed.

It's best not to try to understand the missing logic of Bayverse haters. Plus, responses to any intelligent discussion will usually be countered with "well Michael Bay just sucks."

Watched Part 2 tonight.
They pretty much talked about what they do between takes, and..
It's the OPTIMUS PRIME SYMBOL!

Watching todays part of the story…
If theres one thing that always annoys the heck outa me from the average joe is when they call the autobot insignia "the optimus prime symbol".
*Facepalm*
fallen_revenge
Yup, just saw yesterday's episode. They will go behind the scenes from the set in Hong Kong today!
spikebuster
Yeah. At least that's what i heard.
fallen_revenge
So is part 2 coming today or what?
tonyformer
sorry bud, but may want to get some medication for that
On a serious note, I don't know why anyone is getting their hopes up for re name or getting pissed about the name. As of right now, it could just be a production name. Until its officially revealed on Bays site as to what the name is, there is no reason to get all up in your feeling either way over it lol

Wait wait wait wait

People constantly bitch and cry and moan because Michael Bay is raping their childhood because the movie "characters" are nothing but nameslaps. Now we get a new name for a new character….and people bitch and cry and moan because it's NOT a nameslap?
Like….my brain is bleeding though my anus right about now!
Nemesis251
Stinger? Really? F*** Michael Bay.
Autovolt 127
Stinger is such an awful name. Hopefully Hasbro will think of something better for the toy.
fallen_revenge
Will part two air today? Really hope it does!
tonyformer
Come on guys! Everyone complained about all the Bee repaints throughout the last 3 movies. So Hasbro said "Okay, we will get you all! We will give you 8 Bumblebee clones in the next movie but make them all different car modes." Lol, now deal with Hasbro's wave after wave of Bee Reshells lmao!!
Arashistorm
It is indeed a damn shame, like really.
Well most people from here seem to have it set in their heads that blocky blocks posing as robots and acting as shenanigan filled as they did in the 80s would make a good movie lol.
First movie was great, DOTM shoulda been the follow up..ROTF should have been vanquished to the pits. But this movie seems promising from what we've been hearing, which says a lot since every time Mark Wahlberg talks about the movie, it sounds like its something completely different from last time
