This year’s membership renewal freebie from the Transformers Collectors Club was Depth Charge. Depth Charge was a Maximal from Beast Wars, who journeyed to Earth in pursuit of his nemesis, Protoform X, aka Rampage. In the same style as Fun Publications’ past Beast Wars “Dawn of Futures Past” Botcon exclusives, Depth Charge here is realized with a vehicular mode, using the Hunt for the Decepticons Terradive mold.
Timelines Depth Charge is a great figure and really works well on the mold. This is a straight-up redeco – there is no new head tooling or anything involved, just new colors – but the deco works so well that there is no questioning that this is a version of Depth Charge. The jet mode also perfectly recalls the manta ray alternate mode of the original Beast Wars Depth Charge, and even the trident accessory, with its connotations of the sea, works well with this toy.
Timelines Depth Charge is an amazing deco on an already great toy and is worthy of a place in any collection, either as a stand alone piece, or as a companion piece to the Botcon 2006 Dawn of Futures Past set or next year’s Transformers Collectors Club exclusive, the aforementioned arch-rival Rampage!

Even though it's the same head as the original toy, the headsculpt works really well as Depthcharge.
Strife
I always thought this mold was made with Depth Charge in mind at some level. The trident is such a peculiar weapon choice for the mold… and with that head which is very clearly influenced by him…
I really think the original Terradive plan was Depthcharge at some point. Too many coincidences.
MROptimusPrime
One of those times when they nail it.
NemiMonkey
Wasn't 100% on Terradive, but he did seem to be the perfect fit for Depth Charge or BM Spystreak. Can't deny how well he came out. Really live the eye deco in vehicle mode. Those comparison shots are just pure eye candy.
Also somebodies got the wrong belly pizzas.

i have the original beast wars depth charge i got mine at bot con 2013 98% complete. the voice actor (david Soblov) who talks for shockwave in transformers prime also talk for depth charge in beast wars. i happen to get his autograph on my figure and a picture of him, I like both figures but nothing beats the original depth charge.
these are My photos of my depth charge figure.
enjoy.

It's scary how well Terradive head works as Depthcharge. Gotta love the use of the mold's trident. It makes Depthcharge Aquaman.
Bass X0
A new head is always nice but I think it still works for Depth Charge.

God I hate that head. Not thrilled about this year's line-up. Good thing I'm broke this time around.

…OK… I *have* to try those fan mods now. That's awesome.
Unicron9
You mean like this?
And I did this looooong before this TFC figure was even first shown.

While I still think that the Scourge mold with Terradive head works better… I will admit that this deco is downright GORGEOUS. I had originally intended to sell DC, but I find myself hard-pressed to do so. It's definitely the best paint job of all versions of the Terra Dive mold out there.

It's great. Love that mold and the colorway for Deoth Charge is perfect.
WhiteMocha
I really like this figure. Is it weird that I've mentally re-designated the "jet" mode as being a submarine? I figure if the G.I. Joe line can get away with the SHARC being a flying sub/jet combo thingy, Depth Charge can straddle the same line.
Nice gallery! Love the shot of him with the fish gun (which fits remarkably well), and the surfing shot.
