Takara-Tomy’s Hisashi Yuki has tweeted some new in-hand images of Takara-Tomy’s upcoming releases for the Japanese Generations line. His tweets include a shot of this month’s Springer and Blitzwing in front of their boxes, along with some more images of the Japanese release of Metroplex, including one of Metroplex standing behind the Generations Legends Optimus Prime and Bumblebee figures, making them look very tiny indeed! We have mirrored these images on our post here – read on to check them out!

Glad TT Metroplex comes with stickers!

The light grey on Springer looks really bad with the green and yellow.

Damn, Metroplex looks awesome

Definitely puts most other springer figures to shame. I have my Hasbro one and haven't even transformed him yet because he looks so great out of the box in robot mode

What's the gold wings on scamper from ?

I'd also like to know if the Takara Metroplex has a Japanese voice for the sound clips?
I'm really hoping not, has there been any confirmation?
Autovolt 127
I like Takara's Blitzwing, Springer not so much…well that and the fact I already own the Hasbro version.

Can they confirm what voice waves this release of Metroplex uses (and in what language)?
Starscream Gaga
Neither, the three main versions and what easily identified them are:
-Hasbro (White face, white thighs)
-SDCC (Chrome face, Chrome thighs)
-Takara (Chrome face, silver thighs)

Actually im betting at this point (against what I want it to be) that the Takara one has stickers. The Autobot symbol pretty clearly looks like a sticker and the fact that the yellow striped "hazard" details above the shoulder gun are exactly the same deco as the sticker makes me think that. If it was a tampo I doubt they would use the same WFC inspired pattern on the sticker with cybertronian writing. I would guess the poster just picked a few stickers to apply and left the rest off (most notably the black thigh stickers and the knee stickers are unapplied). Also note that of the added paint deco, there is no added paint anywhere where stickers get applied. Another reason I think im right.
Man I hope im wrong, but I don't think so. If this thing does indeed have the stickers im not getting it.
OUCH – even more damning evidence.
In this image if you look at the deck it is missing one of the yellow arrow stickers on the right hand side just below the book. In addition, again, that deco for the arrow is exactly the same as the sticker. If it was a tampo I would expect it to not have the printed "lense flair" in it like the stickers do.
Also here;
You can see the reflection coming off of the gloss of the stickers. BOOOOOO

SDCC Metroplex is Hasbro version or TakTomy version?
GRAW
You mean Metroplex from ACG-Con in Hong Kong? It is identical to SDCC Metroplex except those decoys are in gold and silver.

I doubt the Takara one has stickers. He definitely has a lot more painted details based on the photos. There's a lot of little things here and there on him.

Yeah the chrome face didn't persuade me. I got my Blitzing about a month ago from them, incredibly quick shipping. I ordered my Metroplex on Friday and it was suppose to be here today, but it wont arrive until tomorrow now. Just wish they had MP Soundwave on their site.

I wish we'd get better picture of the Takara Metroplex. That's the one I'm getting, because I'm sure it'll be better then the Hasbro and will cost the same to me due to the fact that the Hasbro looks like it'll be $180 over here.

I have the Hasbroplex coming, and I'm more than happy with it, as well as the Blitzwing & Springer. I think the Hasbro versions look much better, and since I paid way less….I'm even happier about them.

NArrrrrghhh! I wish we'd get some official images of this sucker. I've got very important decisions to make!
Dolza_Khyron
ehh, it's kind'a a tank,
i do like the white deck.
however, i still like my original metroplex more.
it functions better as a transformer.
