Fresh from the BotCon 2013 show room floor we have now Hasbro case images of the upcoming SDCC Metroplex. This Transformers item is the largest converting Transformers toy ever made, standing at more than two feet tall. The Transformers Generations Titan Class Metroplex converts from robot into a rolling battle platform, and to an Autobot City, inhabited by 12 miniature Autobot and Decepticon figures, as well as a Legends-scale Scamper figure.
Check out all the new SDCC 2013 Metroplex images after the jump.
Delta One
PM me if any of you guys going to sdcc want to pick me up one.
Hollywood Hoist
I'm hoping I'll be able to pick up the decoys from someone who doesn't want them for a reasonable price.
Jerrymiru
Truely EPIC.
Wondering when that hand will be released though. And how much. Could really use an extra hand.
Grimwing
I think the decoys are fine. Decades ago I got little plastic mobile suit gundam decoys in various colors with arcade tickets, Loved the sculpts.
These may not have exactly the same charm to them. I think they could have given us twelve robots instead of a mix easily. But I like that its the upcoming generations deluxes that got these decoys. So it's more relevant specifically to the generations line. Though A decoy of Springer and Blitzwing would help.
Spider 001
Back in the day the Mini Spy's were cool but the Decoys were stupid, pointless & looked like erasers.

Is the white on this version different from the retail one? Maybe it's the lighting?

Don't know why people don't like the small figures yet another thing that's part of Transforemrs that people don't seem to remember.
Hope someone casts these up after the con.

I pre-ordered the Takara Metroplex but just cancelled it. If I'm going to get a Metroplex (still not sure) I want the SDCC version. I don't care about the decoys but I like the chrome thighs. The Takara version only has the chrome face. I like the box on the SDCC version as well.
In my opinion SDCC>Takara>Hasbro
Of course the cost will go in that order as well.
Technostorm98
Nice, I missed out on the original decoys, so those will be a nice addition to my collection. Box art looks AMAZING!!! I'm planning on buying this Metroplex instead of the retail one. I may starve my wallet, but it will be worth it, I really wanna have mine dual-wield.

Yup.
sparkimusprime
I can't remember, but HTS generally puts up SDCC items a week or two after the con right?
LigerPrime
I like the figure – especially the chrome but I'm afraid I have to give it a pass. The humidity and climate will give me enough of a heartache with yellowing…LOL!
ChiefWave
awesome thanks for the heads up bro.

The LA Times article that originally confirmed Metroplex as an exclusive in the first place from a few days ago. I imagine the little placard in front of the SDCC Metroplex on display also stated this but I haven't taken a close enough look at the pics to confirm.
