Amazon Japan has updated their pages for Transformers Go Hunter Smokescreen and Bakudora with official images. From these images we can see Hunter Smokescreen will have a much more show accurate look right down to the red stripes on his head, but it seems like he will not have a silver face. Bakudora the Ripclaw redeco looks particularly cool with a red and metallic blue deco
The images also give us a good closeup of the new head.

Am so tempted to get the Smokescreen now.

Bakudora's headsculpt sells the toy just by itself! The colors are the cherry on top.

It irks me when Takara gets EVERYTHING right except one thing…ugh. Still looks awesome, though.
And, wow…Bakudora looks amazing in those colors. And that head sculpt(and paint job) is phenomenal.

Bakudora has my money for sure. I'm glad I didn't get Hasbro's awfull AWFULL colored Ripclaw…

You must be one of the few people who think that pretty much every other comment I read on other boards too – says – I'm buying that just for the headsculpt.
Don't you like Oni ?
Fallout
wow, that headsculpt fits the ripclaw mold really bad, lol.

I can't help but think of Gigano Dragon looking up close at Bakudora's head sculpt. Which is not making it easier in the least to resist pre-ordering him.

Bakudora's head is superb they are really going with the Japanese Demon look on the new heads.
These critters are giving me much nostalgia for Beast Wars Neo now.
P.S.
I wonder if there's any chance of a Transformers Prime Beast Hunters or Go remould of Ironhide as Trailcutter still – or if the Generations one has damage the likelyhood of that as I would still rather like a toy in the larger size of Bulkhead and Trailcutter (Trailbreaker) that represents what they did with smaller ones applied to the bigger moulds and the reverse applied to the Cyberverse toys would be nice too. So that things like more Predacons get made in a smaller size and the likes of (Show) Ultra Magnus as well.
Not to mention the elephant in the room "Insecticons". I guess it may depend on when the Japanese release of the 4th Movie is how long they decide to push the Prime line and how many extra toys they would put in it.
I don't expect many but I would appreciate some – I would be quite disappointed if a large Insecticon never got made – unless someone can arm twist a 3rd party to do it… at least then it might be the Ultra Size it should be.

I was thinking the same thing! Bakudora is definitely giving me a Deathsaurus vibe.

I'm in the same boat, I've made two purchases in this line and it's just because I'm a Shockwave completist; but I've had Gaidora and Bakudora on pre-order for a while based on how impressed I was with Gaidora's headsculpt and Bakudora's Deathsaurus/Esmeral color scheme. I was really hoping Bakudora would have a feminine face, but with a sculpt this fantastic I really can't complain. Unless the headsculpts manage to sell me on the others I think I'm going to go with Dark Steel and Sky Lynx for the other two molds though.

these takara predacons are so awesome I may buy them even though I'm not collecting Prime toys lol

Like WSX, I also doubt it. There are already announced Predacon redecos, none of which (if I recall correctly) look like these.
It's hardly unprecedented that Takara does its own thing regarding deco on certain figures. I DO think it's quite possible/likely that Hasbro will bring the new heads over in any subsequent releases (or maybe TFCC will get to use the heads, once they get to Beast Hunter molds), but decos themselves? No, probably not.
That was an entire line though with a bunch of new molds, not different decos on a handful of molds that Hasbro already released anyways (with plans for additional, different redecos already announced). The similarity doesn't even work; it'd fit better if you were talking about the new combiners that Takara's releasing since there's been no word of Hasbro bringing them over yet (though I'm not expecting those at the moment either).

Toys like Bakudora really aren't making it any easier to get out of collecting -_- Looks so cool.

Put me down as another one who thinks this Bakudora looks frickin' AWESOME. Weird, since I initially didn't care for this mold at all, but somehow the new head and deco bring it all together. It would be nice if we see something similar from Hasbro down the line.
I disagree… what the head does is CHANGE the aesthetic of the rest of the mold. It's interesting how just swapping the head really undoes the underlying "Primeness" of this figure and locates it more in a BWII style. Makes me think a bit of BWII Galvatron now.

I had to repaint & remove some paint apps on my Hasbro's Smokescreen to make it look screen-accurate..
I just click on the Amazon jp webpage, zoom on his face & it's definitely painted. The color is silver grey-ish in color, whereas the surrounding area of his body which is white doesn't match up with the tone on his face. Also please take note both the promo pixs is somewhat blurry in the resolution, that's why some people are quick to jump to conclusion.
Just my two cents that's all.

Damn you Takara! Those new head sculpts in the Predacons are awesome. Smokescreen may be show accurate but the toy looks incredibly boring. Hasbro's looks a lot better.
Yobuster
Hmm i'm looking at Smokescreen and I really think his paint aps are actually worse than Hasbro's. Is it just me? I grabbed mine to compare with the pictures and really, the takara ones don't look much better other than the 2 red stripes on his head.

Dat Smokey is ugly!

Well, people said the same thing about RID and look what happened. Anyway, I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.
