The companion pieces to Kabaya’s Transformers Gum wave 7, Gaia Scramble, have been revealed. As speculated Gaia Scramble are the limbs for the three gestalt leaders in Wave 7 – however what has been revealed here is that Gaia Scramble will not be six limbs, but all twelve, with each kit including enough parts to be assembled into two different robots. They will all also come in two different colorations. The sets and pairings are as follows:
1 Fireflight and Skydive
2 Air Raid and Slingshot
3 Dead End and Breakdown
4 Drag Strip and Wildrider
5 Vortex and Blast Off
6 Brawl and Swindle
It is an ingenious approach that utilizes the fact that many of the Scramble City limbs shared transformations. Cleverer still is that six may also form a combined mode all of their own, in addition to forming their traditional gestalt forms. This gestalt needs an Aerialbot and a Stunticon to form the core, but then any other four can form the arms and legs.
This was revealed by way of online retailer Toy Santa. Their listing also reveals that the assortment is due for a release in August.

Well for one thing the listing says right on it that each figure comes in two colors and the parts for each figure are interchangeable to make two different figures.
I'm not sure why you assume that there is a secondary wave of limbs after finding out aboutbthe first. Mind you, I loved defensor and we were all a little spoiled with that set.
jamarmiller
no i see it too,
zebramatt
I'm going to continue working under the assumption that we're getting another set like this to round off the other members of the respective teams because why the hell would anyone think any different!?
T-Logicon
Exactly. Kabaya has the ability to make very cool TFs. This "new direction" is surprising, and a little disappointing.

I think who ever typed the news headline got the information wrong. The way im reading this first post is each kit does NOT include enough parts to build two separate figures..
The way I am reading the first post and why im not liking these is because it says each kit is two figures BUT you can only build one or the other, you cant build two separate figures, its one figure with 2 modes.. That sucks..
For example, Here is what im talking about , it says
4 DRAG STRIPE/DRAG STRIP deformed F1 car with rear spoiler
or WILDRIDER normal car (DRAG STRIP's spoiler becomes WILDRIDER's front)
So you can only build Dragstrip or Wildrider, you don't get parts to build two separate figures. Its one or the other. Which is pretty crappy , why would you do that? Its impossible to build a proper combiner without having to buy like 3 cases of these things so you can build one of each limb.
I think they should not have released a wave of just combiners if it was going to cause them to make the limbs like this. I would have rather had the torsos spread out over the next 3 waves of Kabaya if it meant they would make proper limbs for them..

Hi bro, they somehow do look like G1 but just smaller version, maybe we can called it the cheaper alternative to G1 perhaps.
Valkysas
I'm sure they'll look a lot more accurate once they're stickered up.
jamarmiller
I understand that, but they dont really look too much like their g1 counterparts any ways , colors being way off and vehicle modes being off too. He only wants things that are in the cartoon and look like the cartoon so…………..
unless my boy really really wants and ask for them I wont be buying these.

"Superion", "Menazoru" "Blue Thika database" HA ha ha. I love Google Translator!
And I was totally right, it does have Starscreams head w/ crown as the combiner head!
Valkysas
You can't build Superion, Bruticus, or Menasor without these guys.
jamarmiller
Interesting what they have done with these, but I think Ill probably skip this wave and instead opt for the Silverbolt, Bruticus, and Menasor set for my boy
but for what they are and all, sort of still interesting for sure
Blitz.
for toys intended to be cheapo fun I kinda like them I'd repaint them and make new names for them and be happy with them.
Some actually remind me of Micro masters such as Drag Strip being Barricade, Brawl can be Bombshock (not much of a jump), Vortex as Tracer, Brakedown as Road Hugger. Airraid as SkyHopper, and FireFlight as Storm Cloud.
dovianax
Why the hell does it have Coronation Starscream's head?!?!?
soymonk
An interfaction super combination? Bananas!
Girl Pants
Yeah, that was my impression too. We will eventually get all the limbs over a few waves.
Reactionary responses, in my TF fandom? Say it ain't so!
Sol Fury
The Gaia Guardian set actually avoided partsforming. I can see a couple of these do as well – suspect the others might except the Aerialbots.
Taziir
Unless I'm not seeing something that you guys complaining know about, it looks like we are getting 3 full combiner teams spread across several releases?
We have the combiner leaders already announced and the list above fills out all 4 limb bots per team.
Ignoring the new feature for a moment, does it really matter that two pairs of stunticons and aerialbots share a base mold when the add on parts will distinguish them? And hasn't Kabaya always been about the parts-forming? It looks like we'll be able to build the G1 scramable city combiners that I for one was hoping for.
Don't forget that Kabaya sets get stickers which is where the figures should really come to life.
NemiMonkey
Well they don't look bad for what they are. It's just disappointing that you won't have a complete team for each.
