Livio Ramondelli on Transformers Monstrosity

Monstrosity4

Servoslag has posted an interesting interview with IDW artist Livio Ramondelli, regarding his work on Transformers Monstrosity and how it all fits into the wider mythology of Transformers that IDW is creating. There is also some talk of a possible third series to follow up this one, which it is suggested might be a full on war series if it happens.

Other key points revealed in the interview are how Monstrosity and Spotlight Shockwave reconcile with each other, how the Quintesson Pentius plays into the previous tease at the end of Spotlight Wheelie, and a tease of what to expect in the remainder of this digital-first series.

After the last issue I wonder if Megatron is part Quintesson now? It would explain way hes become crazy over the centuries.

Yeah, in another recent interview with the writers of the book one of them flat out stated about Megatron that:

"He was effective before, but now, with his infusion of Pentius, he is a wise evil leader."

It was a pretty good read. Check it out here Dille & Ramondelli Descend Into to Darkness in "Transformers: Monstrosity" - Comic Book Resources if you haven't already.

  3. The Madness's Avatar The Madness says

Just to echo the post from the Quintesson thread; it seems Livio is implying that the Quints can control 'primitives', IMO. Time for some more beast mayhem.

(Especially considering the behemoth that lurks below the surface.)
