Josh
you mean a tracer?
Digilaut
Oh! Kind of like a letterer or inker!
Josh
I think it's a computer program that automatically fills in the pages with colors with no input or direction from a living person
Digilaut
'What's a colorist?'
Josh
*ahem*

Sorry, BotCon & IDW –
too little, too late – and too expensive.
I'm canceling my Primus set this week: thanks to sequestration, I'll be having 1 or 2 unpaid days per pay period until at least 30 Sept. Add in airfare, hotel, food & that ppl apparently don't want the toys (so no flipping for profit) and no GoH I'm that interested in = no go.
Pity they waited until today (6/5/13) to announce Gen. Morshower

Even more importantly, SDCC is two weeks away from Botcon, don't you think they could have gotten their "stars" to attend two events, and bring more marketing to IDW?

Milne was just at C2E2 in Chicago last month.
Roche has been in Chicago more than once in the last two years.
THIS is supposed to be a treat for fans of IDW's Transformers comics. Yet, they have no one to represent their most popular series, More Than Meets The Eye. Not mention no one from LSOTW, which is the prize for one of the 3 packages. Its totally crappy, especially at $500.

Is anyone really thinking about this IDW Tour ???
edgs2099
I don't think that is how this works. I'm pretty sure Roche and Roberts rarely appear in the states regardless of what goes on at whatever con is going on.

LOL $500
Unless James Roberts teleports there and give me 20 BJs, pass
Sockie
Milne lives in Canada, and Roberts lives in the U.K. I don't think either has the time to travel all the way to the IDW offices just to meet some fans on a tour of a building they don't actually work in.
jessecuster
At $500 a head, I am pretty sure they can afford to fly him over.
Erector
Cake = sold.

Telling that I believe Roberts lives overseas?
jessecuster
Its kind of telling that Roberts and Milne aren't on the list.

….DAMN IT. The year I know there's no way I'm going. 🙁 it may be a bit pricey, but I would be all over this. Getting your name in a comic book is a special sort of thrill that can't be replicated.
Bogatan
Strip out all the expensive merchandise/sketches and just give me the tour bits for around $200 and I'd be tempted, but $500 is just too much, which is a shame as it's by some distance the most interesting Botcon related offering so far this year.
