Agreed, I definitely missed the art.
I do have to wonder if what's going on with Magnus has something to do with the things Tyrest had to offer for him. Sounds spooky.
shroobmaster
Boy does it feel good to have the usual delightful art back.
edgs2099
Tyrest split UM's spark into 9 shards and hid those shards in Cybertronian tech all over the galaxy. Every time UM dies, his zombified corpse must shamble (float) to another of the shards. He basically has like 9 extra guys.
Star Saber
The thing is, it could totally happen!
I wonder if UM's floating has anything to do with the Galactic Council.
agentSAP2006
Hmm. Old age. I honestly didn't expect that.
edgs2099
I think Tyrest is the key. His face is blacked out in the one panel he is shown in, and the whole Tyrest gave UM everything he could want, and that UM regrets it.
WilyMech
I think has to do with the flash backs. K-Cons were involved it has to do with mechs like Fulcrum. (Oh that means that Lost Light might meet the Scavengers finally) Back on track Ultra Magnus was having a series of flashbacks last issue and had something to do with that it just a theory.
agp
I'd like to hear some more on people's theories of what the hell is going on with Magnus, because I haven't got a clue.
WilyMech
I don't think Ratchet can cure old age. Age is something that happens to everyone.
MrAho
What does Tailgate's apparent aging say about the existence of Mortilus?
Wadeledge
OMG Tailgate. I want Roche's cover so bad because of all the sads it makes me feel!
Digilaut
Oooooh ok..that could be interesting.
Went to TFWiki to check on the Sparkeater's article again. Just now noticed (as pointed out on the wiki) that Animus, the guy who is killed by the Sparkeater in the corridors, actually had a green spark as well. Probably won't be important, ever, but now we know he was probably a point one percenter?…Heh.
gregles
I think there has been two theories on what could happen to ultra magnus circulated on the boards;
Theory 1
that the flashbacks of him dying and surviving mean he could a point one percent-er like overlord who obviously hasn't gone through that phase 6 exo-skeleton process though. this could be a happy scenario providing he doesn't go through too much of a drastic psychological change in this near death experience
Theory 2
I can't remember who exactly suggested this one or why they did but this is the one I fear this floating and sitting up fast could be a alluding to. the sparkeater used to float round like this and it was also once a living cybertronian at some point too. not much is known about how a cybertronian becomes one of these un-dead spark hungering things but this would be an extremely tragic way to find out
slugslinger2004
As far as Ratchet knows. Don't forget only Cyclonus knows Tailgate's dirty little secret about not being in the Primal Vanguard.
SPLIT LIP
He means before the hole. Tailgate's lived more of a life during peacetime than any war-born robot.
Autobot Hound
Heh- I got the impression that Ratchet was referring to all the things Tailgate said he had done (which only Cyclonus knows is a lie) but yes, it did seem ironic to say that to someone who spent 6 million years stuck in a hole. XD
LOL!
Negativedark
I think it's obvious. Somewhere, someone is breaking the rules so badly that Magnus must rise and go forth the stop them, physical condition and state of spark be damned!
And now Tailgate? Man if this keeps up MTME won't have much of a cast before long.
GWolfv2
Mortality! Sweet, dramatic mortality! I love the idea that transformers live so long that they're only now hitting old age…and I laughed at the "full life" thing…he spent 6 million years barely conscious in a hole
Digilaut
Yeah, I got that part, but a couple of people in this thread seem to think they know what will happen / what's going on. I'm just wondering if it ties back to any of the million possible hints and clues Roberts leaves behind.
ULTRA MAGNUS IS TARN (just kidding)
BobbyKyra
I'm really impressed with this series. The writer does an amazing job to have you emotionally invest in almost every character and I return to the book each issue to just see what crazy stuff he has planned for that particular issue. I hope he stays on for a very long time.
