Impossible Toys has released a video on Youtube demonstrating the transformation for their upcoming third party release “Tetra Squadron”, based on the Cybertronian alternate modes of Starscream and the other Seekers as depicted in Transformers Generation 1’s pilot, More than Meets the Eye. Three releases for this mold are teased so far – Banshee (Starscream), Rebelor (Thundercracker) and Prankstor (Skywarp). Check out the video embedded below:

I got Smashor.
Found a wing configuration that works for him too…
Here is the biography:

Still most of these jets have not been reviewed, or their bios photographed. Did anyone get them?
Dashdragon
TFSource just put up a sale of all 7 for $249.95
TRNS Tetra Squadron – Full set of 7 Jets
Venksta
Most dealers were selling these at $40 each at Botcon, and you could even get a better deal buying all seven from certain sellers during then. I got my Starscream from EdbomberToys during their 3P room.

For those on the fence about maybe getting one for fun, BBTS just put them on clearance for $40 each.

BTW – Did anyone ever take pictures of the bios? I still need pictures of most of them.

This has been an exercise in frustration for me. I was so looking forward to getting this guy, only to find out that he ships in robot mode (I was not going to transform him from tetrajet mode).
So I watched the videos. I tried working back from the instructions. Maybe I'm just stupid or something, but I can't get this thing into jet mode at all. I'm stuck with two flimsy pieces (the tetrajet "shell" and the robot part), and no matter what, he's not coming together. I feel like I've just wasted 50 bucks on this thing 🙁
*EDIT* So I finally figured it out. Or should I say that I just ended up mashing the pegs together until it stuck. But this was a pain in the ass. I'm afraid he'll never be in robot mode again

Opened Thrust tonight…wow, the joint quality is sublime, feels so good in hand and the color scheme is fantastic on this guy. My fave so far.

Same here… I'm no kitbasher!
Same here… At first, I was like, "Whoah, this looks flimsy", then a few seconds later, "Oh wait, it's not!". Very pleasantly surprised. So glad this thing exists!

I had thought about doing that myself because on mine you can kind of see where the line should be between the lips. But I'm probably going to let it be. Partially because I fear I might make it worse and partially because the collector in me likes keeping the original parts original. Although I would buy a replacement head and store this one in the box.
I've transformed him a number of times now, and I've come to appreciate the plastic quality even more.

Just transformed my Banshee. Venksta's engineering is impressive for what he had to accomplish. Plastic feels good for the most part, but the head… I wonder if carefully carving a straight line between the lips to define the mouth more would help…

Yep, I had to go to his transformation review and look it up, because I got nowhere with the instructions. I can normally work backwards pretty well, but these just leave too many steps out and aren't very detailed.
I'm not bothered by the size either, but the softness of the sculpt is just bad. My TC doesn't have a mouth or lips, it's just a round bump on the face. I'll take it apart later and start looking for what else can fit there. It isn't on a ball joint, so anything else might require some modding.

The size doesn't really bother me, although it wouldn't hurt to be a smidge smaller. The face sculpt is that soft. The worst of it is that the mouth detail is almost completely smoothed out. I think that if the face had the proper squarish detail, the size would probably be a non-issue as I think the smoothness tends to make the face look longer than it really is.
It doesn't ruin the figure for me, but its definitely the worst part.
That Guy
The new F-22 Starscream looks pretty cool.
Dark Skull
Oh yeah….lemme edit that

Don't you mean Venksta?

I think if another company took on Venksta's design….and made it how he originally intended for it to look and be (of course with the proper instructions), I would have my interest in this renewed. I'm glad to see people as "happy" as they can be with their purchase.

In addition to this review:
…what's the general consensus on the head mold? Is it distracting large and is the face sculpt pretty soft as pics would seem to indicate?

The one thing I wanted from the instructions that they didn't provide was a shot of the alt mode from the bottom, which is invaluable in figuring out how the bot essentially sits inside the alt shell. They never tell you what to do with the arms in the official instructions which is exactly what an underside shot would have provided. That's why I sought out Vangelus's transformation video which I still heavily recommend for anyone's first transform. Once you visualize in your head what the bot mode needs to fold into, the outside shell pieces fall easily in place.

Got SW & TC in yesterday. The transformation is interesting and the alt mode is great as expected. The head is worse than I feared. The null rays don't stay in the shoulder sockets very well. Overall I am not surprised and I got what I was expecting. They will probably stay in alt mode most of their lives.
Besides the head, the instruction sheet is a great example of why IT is getting out of the business. If you package the toy in robot mode, don't give us instructions to go from alt to robot mode. They weren't useful anyway, so it may not matter if they had gone the right way. Why would anyone think that this is a good idea? No one. So they were lazy.

Well said, this represents my views nearly perfectly…at first I thought the transformation would be a hassle from the video but it's actually quite enjoyable once you get the hang of it.
I've been opening the coneheads…I LOVE Ramjet, he looks incredible. Dirge's colors don't quite work IMHO, opening Thrust next.
Like you, I am satisfied!
