In what is looking to be an E-Hobby exclusive, BBTS has listed a preorder for a MP-12T Masterpiece Tigertrack figure. This is a redeco of Masterpiece Sideswipe, and a homage to the G1 Tigertrack figure released 10 years ago. Priced at $99.99 (may change) the estimated release time is June 2013. Note the image attached is a placeholder and of the original 2003 release.

It is always those last minute thing for TakTomy

That's true, we certainly didn't see the United Black Optimus Prime packaging at least until an image was posted on ebay.
PoweredConvoy
We usually don't see the Tokyo Toy Show exclusives until we're close to the show's date. So I imagine it'll be within a month of the event.

That custom with the added engine sure look sweet in car mode.

If I recall correctly, last year's Tokyo Toy Show Black Convoy supposedly had a production run of about 8000 pieces, so 10K would not be far off. When you think about it, the Asian exclusives producer is smarter, because they're not limiting the exclusives to the show attendants themselves, and earn more of the higher premium themselves rather than the attendants who scalp them.
GMANIFESS
Oh ok… i guess Tokyo Toy show conventions are not as intense as exclusives on American soil, where if a few actually escape they are scalped at twice the price if you can even acquire any. I wonder what the factory run will be for these? Isn't 10,000 a normal run for the average masterpiece?
Lbsammills51
Yup. Tokyo Toy Show exclusives the past few years have been easy to pick up via online retailers.
03Mach1
Why? BBTS, TFSource, Captured Prey & many other retailers have been able to get past Tokyo Toy Show Exclusives. What makes this any different?
GMANIFESS
Well if that's the case, of it being a show exclusive, and not a japanese retail exclusive then i expect many orders to be cancelled by many US online retailers.

Here's the kicker: as I said earlier, the original Tigertrack was an e-Hobby exclusive, the Masterpiece version will be a Tokyo Toy Show exclusive.
johnchow604
Shouldn't the eHobby exclusive Tigertracks be up for pre-order on the e-hobby website? Can't seem to find it.

Well, if Lamborghini doesn't like how Tigertracks turns out then I guess there is a possibility that this will be cancelled, but I'm sure TT will step up to make sure that doesn't occur.
Anyways, there's still 2 months to go till release which is still enough for them to release info. I can't imagine there being a huge delay of sorts, it's essentially a straight up repaint. Only time can tell.
GrimlockAutobot
The fact that this is only 2 months away and we still haven't seen any type of official images yet concerns me and IMO tells me that there's a strong possibility that this is either not coming out at all or is delayed for a while.
We always see some types of images this close to release and for MP Tigertrack we got nada.

Yeah that's a fairly cool custom! By looking only at the pictures, the tells – for me – that this isn't an official final product are:
a) The yellow paint on the hands seems a little dull, implying MP-12's black plastic underneath.
b) The thing is festooned in Autobot symbols. Most notably is perhaps the tiny one covering the Lamborghini badge. Indeed, looking above the feet we can see that the Countach branding has been removed too. Not only is this something that Takara would not need to do, but Lamborghini – or any other licensing partner – would be ticked off! Why cooperate on a licensed product that doesn't advertise your brand and trademarks?

That custom looks sweet! Hope the real deal looks like that!

We can only hope it looks as good. Custom turned out well. Seeing all this stuff and the lack of supply of the original two from this mold almost makes me wish I had purchased two to have one in each mode. Love these little guys, but will probably never transform them back to car mode.
GMANIFESS
oH.. I didn't know that custom had the giant engine. Oh well… hopefully it looks close to this. Hobby Ark must be trying to drum up some sales.

^See post two above yours for the link to that custom.
