Site sponsors Robot Kingdom have put up another new Bot Shots listing, this time for a new launcher assortment. The first 2013 assortment of Bot Shots Launchers features Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, both are said to be Generation 1 themed. The Optimus Prime is a new mold, probably of the “Spin Shot” sub group judging by the way his arms are done. The Launchers are simplified compared to the 2012 assortment ones, but there seem to be more accessories with this set, as the picture suggests there will be little bowling pins or other accessories to launch your Bot Shots at included in the packaging.

Anyone see the two new 3-packs listed at Hasbro? One's Flipshots Cliffjumper and Brawl with a Super of Dirt Boss (trans-purple Ironhide redeco), the other's Jumpshots Shockwave and Bumblebee with a Super trans-dark-green redeco Skyquake.
So, here's what we know so far…
2B001 Bumblebee (Flipshot)
2B002 Ironhide (Spinshot, G1 colors)
2B003 Shockwave (Jumpshot)
2BP001 Cliffjumper (3pk #1, Flipshot)
2BP002 Brawl (3pk #1, Flipshot)
2BP003 Shockwave (3pk #2, Jumpshot)
2BP004 Bumblebee (3pk #2, Jumpshot)
2SB001 Sunstorm (Wave 1, Blitzshot)
2SB005 Dirt Boss (3pk #1, Blitzshot)
2SB006 Skyquake (3pk #2, Blitzshot)
2BL001 Spinshot G1 Optimus Prime Launcher
2BL002 Jumpshot Bumblebee Launcher
2T011-015 "Autobot Air Force" 5-pack (Blitzshots, Jetfire/Screamer/Powerglide redecos, Aerialbots in all but name)
2T016-020 Decepticon Fire Assault Team (Blitzshots, flame-theme redecos of Tank Megs, Shocky, Screamer, Barricade and Lockdown)
numbers unknown:
-Dragon Track Flipshot Optimus Prime (G1 style)
-Dragon Track Flipshot Megatron
Extrapolations:
1. We can probably expect to see each wave be one each Flipshot, Jumpshot, Spinshot and Super Bot.
2. Given that the SB's in the 3-packs tend to start after the last single SB for numbering, that implies we can expect to see only four waves this year. Either that or Wave 2 is only First Half 2013 with Wave 3 coming Second Half…
Musings:
1. I, too, am disappointed at the end of the Trailer Launchers, though I think the Wave 1 Launchers were a missed opportunity–if they'd been designed a little smarter they'd have had room to store a Bot Shot inside, which would make a lot more convenient storage.
2. Bases like Metroplex, Fort Max, Trypticon and Scorponok could be interesting, but before working up to those I'd like to see Hasbro work things out on a smaller scale, with something like the bases the Micromasters had. (Maybe give the Seekers their own aircraft-carrier like what's-his-name the purple F-4 Phantom Micromaster and the Autobots an Ultra Magnus with altmode Bot-carrier trailer?)

Robot Kingdom also has pics of wave one of the 2013 single packs listed:

I think the pic of single-packed Flipshot Bumblebee is new.
EDIT: Definitely all-new molds for Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron and Shockwave. None of them are redecos/remolds of previous Bot Shots. Personally, I'm looking forward to at least trying out the new gimmicks, and I will probably buy the track set too. Mostly likely, I'll keep it in the box until I have room for a proper display, though.
Looks like they are straight-up launch platforms and nothing else.

I wonder how much is the track set going to cost?
And i am probably getting those flip/jumpshots if they hit the shelves in finland.

Looking at the new toys in detail and how the Dragon Track works I think many of the new toys (especially Flipshots and Spinshots) might allow the robot mode to continue to roll after they have Transformers (Well if they are on a smooth surface anyway). Which means they might slide around the track a bit after Transforming and not automatically just fly off into oblivion right away. (I hope people have enough sense to play on carpet) I don't think Botshots and hard flooring are a good mix at all – I can attest to this after accidentally breaking a shelf diving Sentinel Prime he fell about 3 foot and his arm snapped clean off !
1. Coloured like Megatron he maybe but he's listed as Flipshot Megatron on the Dragon Track box. The name Dragon Track and the use of Predacon's head suggest this is a version partially or completely based on Prime Megatron.
2. The two respective G1 style Optimus' are not the same mould – the one in the boxed set is a FLIPSHOT. the one in the launcher carded release is a different toy and is a SPINSHOT.
3. The Launcher Bumblebee has a front grill and engine block suggestive of the Prime Universe Bumblebee of last year.
The front page says the two new Botshots Optimus are repaints this is not the case and likewise there are also two brand new Bumblebee's both a Flipshot (The single carded version) and a Jumpshot (like what is with the Launcher).
And thought the pictures are not good enough yet I think this may also be the case with Shockwave too.
So it seems Shockwave will have an example of each kind of Botshot. (I'd not say the same for Optimus yet as the previous 2012 Optimus is a long nose more Movie or G2 like Optimus).

Botshots has really surprised me. Lots of G1 designs and now a new Megatron.
I'll buy the track. Because after the long years of collecting, I have no shame as to what I'll be seen buying in public, lol.

Sooo the Dragon Track Prime is a flip-shot and the Launcher Prime is the spin-shot? New moldssss.
Protoman
One more would be nice =p

These guys are pretty neat! Too bad I don't have the funds for everything!

I'm a Bot Shots completest, but I don't know if I can go all in with this new stuff. I'd feel silly buying that track. There's no way I can pass that off as a disply piece. And the Spin and Jump Shots break the aesthetic of Bot Shots. They're all nice, but this feels like a good end point. Of course, I'll still probably buy them all.
Purple Heart
That Megatron design looks awefully new…………..
Atomatron
yeah i cant keep up with these bot shots and kreos, bot shots going on evil bay…

Prime Galvatron pictured with Predaking? This is a good sign, I think.
red00wolf
seems like galvatron to me.
I AM UNICRON
i don't know about y'all but the dragon track seems kool and a lot more fun to play with. i think i'm going to have to pic it up at retail

Told you he looked more like Bumper.
Those Cyberpins are interesting though.
I wonder if that "Megatron" is a spoiler for the Beast Hunters Megatron's reformatted form ? (or at least his colours). Or if he's just inspired by Cybertron Megatron ?
Hollywood Hoist
It's pretty much movie Bumblebee without the stripes. So I guess that means we have a striped version to look forward to.

With pictures, I can safely say I'll probably pass on the track unless some video review reveals some crazy gimmick that makes it worthwhile. The Optimus and Megatron (If the box didn't say who he was, I'd have no idea) just aren't doing it for me.
I will pick up the G1 Optimus though just for the fact that his vehicle mode has a trailer too and he's supposed to be completely G1-based. Just don't like his big feet… Is it just me or do they seriously look bigger than the first Optimus's?
Bumblebee's vehicle mode is barely G1. I'll pass on him and his pissed off face. Those red targets are now known as Cyber Pins!
Interesting that the Sunstorm chase is 2 per case. I guess I'd want him and Shockwave from that wave.
I like that the back of the boxes show both modes of every guy included. It was something I felt the previous 3-packs needed.

The instructions show they are rotated at the waist and then pushed down to lock them – then when they are pushed and collide with something they rotate at the upper body and knock flying to the side what they have crashed into (namely another botshot or the skittles that come with the launchers).
The idea that might work with a spin shot is to build a pile of Botshots and propel them into it and see how many you can set off.
Jumpshots are charged by pressing them down and then jump straight up when they hit something. I suspect the way you play with them is to impact two on opposite factions and then when they land you automatically loose if they don't land on their feet.
Flipshots back flip away from what they have struck. it demonstrates a fun way to play in the instructions that shows Bumblebee hitting another botshot causing it to back flip over the one placed behind it the idea being to make the one in the middle flip without activating the one at the back of the queue.
I think the springs in them work a bit like the ones inside some Masters of the Universe figures. I don't think that Spin shots really spin so much as quickly rotate just once or twice when acctivated. they certainly are not spinning tops as they are only activated by a spring.
It may be possible to use a more elaborate charged spring mechanism and have them actually forcefully rotate repeatedly but I don't think they actually do that and it's not really safe if they did do that.
Perhaps they might make a subcatagory of them with pull back motors in that work more like a jumpstarter's motor then they could be more forceful than they are.
I wonder if it's possible to get a Jumpshot to be propelled down a ramp cross a little cardboard speed bump you could make then leap into the air (while moving) and come crashing down onto their enemy – rather than just bumping into them and dragon punching them. (Note Shockwave even has a huge fist suggesting that is the idea).
Driftx3
I'll bet the spin-shots spin-fight like Beyblades when in robot mode.
