Prime Arms Micron December 2012 Papercraft Trailer Exclusive

mg

Autobase Aiichi reports that the latest Transformers Prime Arms Micron series store campaign special will be a papercraft trailer intended for Ultra Magnus. Starting today, 31 December, participating Edion stores will be giving out the papercraft trailers with a purchase of 3’000 yen or more on Transformers Prime merchandise.

However, Autobase Aiichi notes that unlike the picture shown in the Edion catalog (at left) the distributed material was the same as the trailer released for Arms Master Optimus Prime. The catalog was published before the final confirmation of the goods was received.

In other words, do not believe all that is reported – all that is being released is another papercraft Optimus Prime trailer, and not an Ultra Magnus trailer.

ahh, the future of hasbro transformers! what's cheaper to make than paper transformers? nothing!

With only 1,000 of these being distrusted nationwide (zenten goukei), I'm not surprised some people are coming up with Optimus Prime trailers--no ones to send a small child (or man child) home empty handed.

I'm certainly no stranger to die hard papercraft stuff... but man... this "trailer" just looks like rubbish.

Is that Masterpiece Ultra Magnus' trailer? I think that trailer looks better with a bigger UM.

Yep that looks like MP-02 Ultra Magnus paper trailer. So not only are they saving on making a paper version.... they're saving by not hiring a new artist to make it.

    Pretty cheap.

I assume if they had gone through with it, they would have made a new paper trailer design. The promotion as advertised didn't actually happen, so we can't really bitch about how cheap it is.
