Another news (or a rumor) has surfaced for Transformers 4.
IFTN is reporting that actor Jack Reynor is in TF4.
“Reynor, who auditioned for the part three times, was offered the lead by Bay himself after the ‘Armageddon’ filmmaker was impressed by Reynor’s performance in Irish feature ‘What Richard Did’.
Bay initially tested five actors for the part: Reynor, Luke Grimes, (Brothers & Sisters), Landon Liboiron (Terra Nova), Brenton Thwaites (Blue Lagoon: The Awakening) and Hunter Parrish (Weeds).
A source close to IFTN says Bay is keen for Paramount Pictures, which is financing the film, to agree with his casting decision, and an announcement is expected in the coming days.”

Jack Reynor? all his movies are low box office, in-debt, striaght to DVD movies.

Umm I'm sorry but why? I'm sorry but I want Transformers not a Madea movie.
Dolza_Khyron
i think Mark should play mom.

I've just seen the trailer and i have to admit he does seem to show a lot more emotion than some of his other films.
Firstly i would like to summarise that you are acting incredibly immature for these forums and leaping to silly assumptions and stating the obvious such as "being an actor is, you know…A JOB" a point i was fully aware of – and all your statements in the first paragraph (Qouted by Autovolt 127) you spend insulting me, insinuating that i cannot tell the difference between a bad movie with an amazing actor and a bad movie with a bad actor.
My point is that a terrible movie can still be saved by a good actor. I am not saying that Mark Wahlberg is a terrible actor in everything – as he does a pretty amazing role in 'The Lovely Bones' which is still one of my favourite films… however this is a different situation especially when you considered that he was signed up for Pain & Gain and Transformers 4 at the same time.
Bay is simply going about finding actors who will do the work cheaply – because they want a cheap shot at fame. He signed up Wahlberg during the time he signed up for 'Pain & Gain' – most likely in a 2 film deal along with Transformers 4. Every female and male rumored cast member is barely recogniseable… check the list yourself;
"Isabelle Cornish, Nicola Peltz, Gabriella Wilde and Margaret Qualley are all considered to play the daughter of Mark Wahlberg's character while Luke Grimes, Landon Liboiron, Brenton Thwaites, Jack Reynor and Hunter Parrish are all considered for the race car driving boyfriend"
In fact the most heavily rumored actors are Brenton Thwaites and Nicola Peltz. BREAKING: Brenton Thwaites And Nicola Peltz Land TRANSFORMERS 4 | Twitch
I stated three films including Mark Wahlberg that i had seen. I had only heard his name in reviews and honestly had no idea who the actor was because his role in the films i saw was so forgettable. Since writing i watched 'Ted' which many consider an amazing movie – and i felt his acting (and the over-used joke) let the film down a bit.

I mean look at guys like Malcolm McDowell, Tim Curry, Fred Willard, Lance Henriksen and a lot of other non A-List actors. Hell most bad movies are great because of these guys.
MV95
I'd suggest seeing 'Invincible'. He was really great in that movie in my opinion and not many people have heard of it.

Or maybe being an actor is, you know…A JOB.
And whether these movies suck or not, they are high profile, and they pay rather well. A good opportunity for a starting, relatively unknown actor to get into the spotlight and pay your bills at the same time.
I'm curious to find out where you work. Just so I can determine if your company is high profile and considered good. Otherwise, you're just a 'wannabe'!
Or do you still go to school? In that case, you better be a student at Harvard, otherwise you're totally a 'wannabe' student.
ps. Mark Wahlberg did play in movies that are considered good. Alot of stuff he has played in have been nominated, or won, internationally important prizes, and he individually was nominated for his performance in The Departed.
You make the incredibly stupid assumption that, just because an actor plays in bad movies, he is a bad actor. There are a LOT of factors that determine the outcome of a movie, and how good or bad an actor acts. Is the script good? How much practice reading sessions are there? Just how much does the director want to control your acting?
If you had done any research you'd find that most actors who have given incredible performances in good movies have also given terrible performances in bad movies. And yes, some actors really are bad, but that doesn't make them wannabe's. Some actors can't catch a break and only land roles for bad movies – even if they have the potential to become good actors. And some actors are victims of typecasting.
Also:
So, which one is it? You only know Mark Wahlberg from bad reviews, or you've seen some of his films?
Congratulations, by the way. The Happening and Planet of the Apes are probably among his worst movies. But good job on judging his skills based on those two.
Scorpio
Almost every film any of them have been in has been nominated for the 'Golden Raspberry Awards'
If you cannot barely even star in a single film that is considered 'good' then you are pretty much a 'wannabe' actor.
Scorpio
I never said that. I've seen 'The Happening', 'The Italian Job' and 'Planet of the Apes'
Considering he was pretty much the lead role for 'The Happening' and 'Planet of the Apes' i personally felt he was really terrible. You are allowed your own opinion of him… but for me he just isnt good at all.
Oracle_Aesir
Well Marvel was the first TF Media, they probably just said that in the same vein people say Battleship was based on the board game (it's nothing like it really)
Starscream NZ
Pretty sure that they're not 'wannabe' actors, and are actually fully-fledged actors. Just because they aren't Angelina Jolie/Tom Cruise famous, doesn't mean they're not actors.
I love the vitriol that spews from fans about actors in TF films, well before we even have a chance to see their acting talents. This fanbase is rabid.
SPLIT LIP
Even taking that into consideration and ignoring that the movies need to feature a high volume of human action due to the expenses that come with CGI, Transformers has still nearly always had humans present, and you still need to cast people to play the humans in movies, so no one really cares what you want.
Your little soapbox statement makes no sense. Regardless of how important humans are they're still going to be mentioned.
Starscreamownz
What makes you assume they won't be? You know what they say about assuming don't you?
Starscreamownz
Not Shia Lebouf. Be glad we're getting fresh blood and not another movie of "NONONNONONONONONONOSHITSHITSHITSHITUHUHUHUHUHUHUHUH……OPTIMUSSSSSSSSSS"
[Wing_Saber-X]
Who the hell are these wannabe actors?
Starscreamownz
If this were him I could live with it. So long as he keeps his Irish accent and not force a Texas one. A relatively unknown coming in and not only acting well but doing a good impression of a completely different accent then they're used to? Jack Reynor would need to be the best actor that has ever not been found.
Then again this is still a rumor. I'm still betting on Liboiron however. He's worked with Spielberg prior so he wouldn't be just jumping into it suddenly like Rosie. If I were Bay I'd take this into account.
