We’re back with another Transformers toy gallery. Today we are sharing with you a gallery of Transformers Prime Arms Micron Ironhide.
Ironhide was released back at the end of September in Japan. He’s a recolored version of Prime Sergeant Kup – unlike a lot of other Arms micron releases, Ironhide did not get any remolding to add extra ports for Arms Microns. He looks fantastic in the red and black – I would go as far as to say this is the deco that Kup should always have been released in, because it fits the design so much better than Kup’s green. Ironhide like all Arms Micron releases comes with a sheet of stickers in lieu of paint apps, but he barely needs them because he looks good with or without the stickers. A cute touch is the inclusion of a “bullet hole” sticker if you want to customize the look of your Ironhide (or indeed any Transformer) with a war-wound.
Ironhide’s partner Micron is I.R., a well-built orange Micron who turns into Ironhide’s signature cannon. He’s a fun little robot and looks equally good attached to Ironhide’s arm or hand-held, but his true strength comes out when you combine him with other Arms Microns, like B.H. and C.L., and he forms some suitably oversized heavy weapons for the Autobot weapons specialist.
All in all, Ironhide is warmly recommended. If you have Kup, then Ironhide is a straight-up red version of that toy, but the colors feel more right on the mold from the get-go than Kup’s deco. Import prices might put you off, but I feel the extra cost is worth it for a massively improved deco which takes a good figure and makes it a great one.

That figure is pretty cool looking.

In times like these, I feel quite lucky to be in my current region.

Thanks, Sol. As if I could have wanted this figure any more! :/
(Gallery looks great )

I wish we got Ironhide instead of Kup.
I'm almost considering having my newly boguht Kup sent to a customizers to make him Ol' Ironhide.

I'm sure others will express their love for Terrorcon Bumblebee, Hotshot, Dead End, Swerve, Ultra Magnus, Thundetron, Leo Prime, Rumble, Cyberverse Ironhide and so on for you then.
Oh and Slag the show it's pretty middle of the road anyway and then go buy Hasbro's Dead End and lots of Takara's Arms Microns toys.

Any figure which is not in the show,i will skip, skip

Yeah, I don't understand this at all.
Hasbro makes a perfect Prime Universe version of Ironhide but then they color him green and call him Kup.
It's even weirder that the Cyberverse version of the toy is Ironhide.

Nice pics! I love this guy's face sculpts.

I just got this from AmiAmi last week. I like this figure on many levels. It is quite affordable for a Takara product, the alt-mode is excellent, and the Micron is actually pretty useful.
The negatives… the figure is quite small. In alt-mode it is a little bit smaller than a scout. The stickers are gosh awful. The micron was quite a pain to put together. Unlike the Hasbro Kup, he only gets one cannon weapon which is in such an odd-shape that it restricts where you can plug it in in alt-mode.
I got mine for less than $20, which is quite affordable. Recommended, but be warned.

I really don't understand why Hasbro opted for 'Sergeant Kup' instead of Ironhide. At least they could have given 'Kup' a different head.
Hopefully we do eventually get a Hasbro Prime Ironhide – with bigger cannons, along with Smokescreen.

I've actually warmed up to movie Ironhide. I like him more than the Ironhides that look like they're wearing spartan helmets.

"I would go as far as to say this is the deco that Kup should always have been released in"
wasn't the design created for ironhide anyway? with the kup version just hasbro being obstinate, like with their refusal to release breakdown?
Wheeljack_Prime
I still maintain that its a horrible bungling of that concept art and that it makes the mainline BB look like an MP.
Sol Fury
I know the combo you mean – it's two thirds of the combo that is formed using those two and Arcee's Micron. I've tried it on Ironhide – looks good, though a little hard to balance.

A nice looking toy! It is ashame the Japanese toys are better looking and more creative than the US counterparts.

I think an even better gun combo might be possible the CJ Micron has a specific combination with Bulk's ball and chain micron they fit together to make one big gun it's hard to explain but if you put CJ in robot mode and unfold the bulkfist into it's elongated form the two merge.
I'd not recomend doing it to often as they are a tight fit and you might break them… but I suspect that would look neat with Ironhide.
Sol Fury
I believe it's the Burst Cannon. There's two named combos for it, that one and the one shown on the back of the box with O.P. and R.A.
I'd have thrown in that combo weapon too if I had an O.P. to form the gunbarrel!
MagnusPrimal
I bought Kup so Ironhide can have the canons. I'll give Kup the arms micron.
Or rather I'll give it to Dipstick, since that is Sergeant Kup's new name!
JukeOutlander
Oh alright. Wasn't sure if he was going to be released by Hasbro in the future, but if not his price isn't that bad, since he comes with a cool Micron anyways.
Roufuss
Yup, I really don't see Hasbro going back and inserting him into a future Beast Hunters wave (since we already know Deluxe Wave 1.)
If you want Ironhide, import him. We live in a new age where it's not a guarantee that Takara and Hasbro will release the same figures anymore. He's definitely worth the extra money over Kup imo.
