In a bit of post SDCC news from Comic Book Resources we have a further tease on a potential future development for Transformers Prime Season 3. We heard a while back that Nolan North would be joining the cast in some capacity for season 3, but it seems like he is not coming alone – in a special CCI panel on Fall of Cybertron, Nolan North mentioned that “He also felt honored to watch Berger and Cullen work, both on this project and the animated “Transformers Prime” series.”
Take this as you will, but by all indications it seems that Gregg Berger, voice of Generation 1 and Fall of Cybertron Grimlock as well as Generation 1 Jetfire, Long Haul and Outback, will be lending his considerable voice talents to a character in Transformers Prime.
Of course there is no word on whom yet, so keep it TFW to find out more news as it reaches us!
Grimm
It would really suprise me if it wasn't Grimlock he would be voicing. I mean, there is a Dinobot centric Prime comic coming out, the makers said they wanted to get into some Dinobot action in season 3, now Gregg is voicing an
'unknown' character. There is no doubt it's Grimlock. It's gonna be awesome.
So, I'm assuming Gregg has already recorded some stuff for them? When are they going to conifm what character he is in fact voicing, or will they keep it a secret?
Cyber-Scream
Gregg Berger voicing anyone but Grimlock would be stupid. I mean think about it we already have Cullen and Welker reprising their roles from G1 it would only make sense Gregg reprises his role as Grimmy. As for his purpose in the show, maybe he will become Bulkhead's replacement or possibly the last defense against the Insecticons.
Grimm
It's pretty safe to say Gregg WILL be voicing Grimmy. All of it adds up, and I for one and thrilled to bits about it.

Can it be Long Haul?

The Aligned Continuity Dinobots are supposed to be the like the Marvel Comics Dinobots and be intelligent.

No! Worst news ever! Prime is pretty serious I don't want Dinobots dumbing the show down! o; If He's not reprising Grimlock (which is very un-likely) then I'm good. Oh well good for those who would like Grimlock in Prime.
Wikkid
If Greg voices Grimlock, it'll really add alot to the show. Hell, if all the Dinobots are included, it'll be a hellova slobberknocker.

They say a LOT of things.

^That

I thought it was "No plans, but he will appear in other areas." Whatever that means.
Wheeljack_Prime
They said no plans…YET.
Stardust262
We've known since BotCon that Ironhide would NOT be in the show
Sol Fury
They both did according to the Wiki. Given Outback was in all of two stories, I'm guessing we are thinking of different appearances. Main reason I cite Outback though is there's a Fallback in Cyberverse…
seekerblackout
Or just have Wheeljack be Miko's new guardian.
Sol Fury
Ironhide possibly. Or maybe Swerve?
Jakest123
If Bulkhead actually dies, I assume the Five-man-band will get a new Big Guy. I propose Ironhide. Ya' never know.

Gregg Berger's smart Grimlock reminded me of Beast from X-Men. Which ironically years later Gregg Berger would voice in the X-Men movie tie in video game since he does a stellar Kelsey Grammer impersonation.
dovianax
Actually if you want to find out what a "Smart Grimlock" sounds like just watch the episode "Grimlock's new brain" and you'll see a Grimlock so smart that he was able to create the Technobots and even power Computron's Computing capabilities by giving him his own newly found intellect. It didn't sound forced or stupid. In fact he sounded like he needed a monocle and a mustache.
Prime Jetscream
There was a thread in the Prime board that confirmed Dinobots for S3.

Gregg Berger making a comeback on TV? KICKASS!
