Lowbcousin of HK-TF has shared a selection of images of the newly released Kabaya Transformers Gum Wave 5 Hot Spot and the Gaia Guardian combiner series. The six robots in this series – Graze / Blades, Groove, First Aid, Streetwise and newcomers Heatrock & Skyfeather variously combine to form Gaia Guardian or with Hot Spot to form God Guardian. Leave out the new guys and you can form a tiny version of the original Defensor! By the looks of these images, Defensor’s original Scramble City limb switching may even be intact – three out of the four Protectobots appear to retain their original head / arm attachment design – Streetwise was always a bit different to the rest but could his also be intact, to make this a truly scaled down version of the original 1986 vintage toy?

Will prefer they do a proper face than just a sticker though i understand this is what we called Kabaya
Valkysas
I disagree with that, given the alternative is to have a solid blue face with no color at all.
Stepper
It sure ruin the whole bot
Valkysas
Face is very likely pretty well sculpted, but having a sticker go on over it will kind of ruin it.

Welcome to Kabaya.

A reminder, Capturedprey has the gaia guardian set up for preorder at 25 dollars, and WFC Prime, Deathsaurus, and Hot Spot at 6.50 each, and you don't have to deal with random singles like at BBTS. You'll know exactly what you're getting.
I really hope the wave 5 guys are bigger like waves 1-3. Everyone in Wave 4 was really tiny to accomodate the trailer parts for Rodimus.

Looking forward to messing around with these.

I would love to get my hands on this.

Because Kabaya is neither Hasbro nor TakaraTOMY? Kabaya make Candy Toys all the time; it is not just Transformers. Besides, Candy Toys are about 10 times cheaper than regular figures.
In Japan, Candy Toys are a part of their culture. Candy Toys are often made as miniature versions of larger toys, so that kids can save up their pocket money to buy them, or "trick" their parents into buying them by saying that they are buying candy, chocolate, or gum; of course modern parents are much smarter, lol. But yeah, that is the entire point of Candy Toys.

If this has the same cheap, soft plastic as the Gaia Cross Kabaya kit, then it would suck. I hope the Fort Max kit would have the same hard plastic as the main line.

i wonder why takara and hasbro cant get together and make a calssics or masterpiece scale of one of these they could use the same basic transformation on a larger scale and add some articulation to them and there you go one awesome classics or masterpiece defensor with cool battle armor upgrades with the jet and the tank
Stepper
The face is just pure flat.

Awesome, will go well with my WST collection. Let's hope for Stunticons, Predacons, Combaticons and Aerialbots!
SouthtownKid
That's probably about the size the Fort Max will be, too. Not terrible.
Star Saber
Hm interesting, I wonder if they'll put out a Guard City repaint of this. Also not shown above is a 6th and 7th member who can tur into a Target Master-like weapon or also the chest components.
Dolza_Khyron
