A new third party product has been shown off at a show in China. On show was a gray resin prototype of a Hearts of Steel Starscream. This one is by a new group, D.I. Studio, rather than Mastermind Creations who’ve brought previous designs from the Hearts of Steel series to life. This prototype looks promising – time will tell if this ends up being a worthy companion to the Knight Morpher Commander and the Cyclops.
TFC Toys also had a display at the same show, showing off their Hercules and also their DSLR “Reflector”, who’s also still at the gray prototype stage.
These images come to you via the TFClub Weibo account.

Make HoS Bumblebee. You already know about the competition ( MMC ) so make it to scale with the HoS Prime figure. I would suggest 3/4 of Prime's size, you don't want him to be too small. There you have it, a small and simple project with a built in fan base.
MMC has too much announced to get to Bumblebee anytime soon.

Right now, the only TF line that interests me more than what you guys are doing is Masterpiece.
This really is GREAT stuff.

sounds interesting, look forward to knowing more.

Greetings, transformers fans! First of all, thank you for interesting in our products, that means a lot.
We want to share few thoughts about ourselves.
We really had mixed feelings in doing this. At first we were really happy because we transformed our loves to transformers into action. But then turns out we are having some competitions out there…the stress levelled up.
We had doubts. We even had fights. But now things are all clear, we'd like to keep our minds and products simple. We may have less experience, but we will do whatever we can to provide the toys that fans(include us) can be satisfied with. Stay tuned with us. Thank you!

This, Transbot and I are on the same page when it comes to steam punk transformers. Make them and we will buy every single one. I've been waiting for an HoS BB for a while. They have so many bots to choose from though. Not to mention I've seen like 2-3 HoS BB designs now.

Yeah bro, it took me a little while to understand where the hell they got these awesome designs from, because I didn't read comics, until about 1month ago lol. So all these designs are from a idw comic series called HEARTS OF STEEL. It is set in an alternate Generation 1 continuity in which the Transformers' first contact with humanity is in the late 19th century, rather than the 20th. So you have all these wicked steam punks. The comics was pretty wack to be honest, it just ended soooo fast for me… Only four comics in the series I believe, but the Idea was just ingenious to me and I love the artwork! There's TPB with all 4 comics and some added extras, here's a link, if you want to give it a read: http://www.amazon.com/Transformers-Evolutions-Hearts-Steel-Edition/dp/1613771703/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1342254809&sr=8-1&keywords=hearts+of+steel

Hearts of Steel was a mini series based on a group of Autobot and Decepticons waking up during the industrial revolution. Some designs are characters that appear in the comic and other are based on Guido's (the artist) concept art. It's basically G1 meets Steampunk.

I posted that as soon as I read the post, now that I have finished reading every page in the thread, I understand a little more. However, I still don't know where this HOS line comes from or where they got their looks from.
Is it from a comic or fan fiction or what? I really have missed a lot since last time I collected.
MasterxBlaster
Are you talking about the insecticon train from HOS? There's prototypes show right here, and even MMC said they are in the works of making one them selves…

This has got to be one of the most confusing statements I have ever read on this forum.
I feel so lost, I have no clue what you are referring to. What have I missed in the last 9 years or so…

It looks great I will pre-order as soon as I can.

That and the H.O.S. (HOS!) Decepticon altmodes were
the pencil designs of the human mechanologist Shockwave
recruited. Shockwave had an altmode that kinda fit the era(+).
So he likely scanned it from a passing craft. The seeker and
Insecticon, et-all designs were literally just concept sketches
from Muldoon's noggin (in universe). These designs were not
real aircraft that had ever existed on Earth up until that point.
That and the robot modes look bad-ass…
(+)Ironclad war ships were kind of a "make it work" affair and were
not so standardized compared to more modern ships. Shockwave's
altmode looks late 1870's-1890-ish. I has turrents, sloped armor,
and a ramming prow which had a very odd resurgence in naval
strategy for the time.

Believe he said "gimmick" wise, Fansproject figs don't really have any gimmicks.. they're awesome though, don't get me wrong, but haven't seen one gear in a fansproject toy….

I think it was you Venksta or Encline that mentioned that in one of the threads, Glad my mind wasn't playing tricks on me, more reasons to buy all 3 seekers and for my Girlfriend to want to stab me Thanks for the confirmation bro, can't waaaaiiiit!!!
Cadbane
Venksta, isn't it too early to deny the other group's design this soon? I guess they are making a Voyager size, which means their engineering could be better than Mastermind's.
Moreover, I don't think they have showed their plane mode so far, based on the bot mode, the plane mode could look closer to the concept art.
I am a fan of mastermind, and I think they have done a good job so far. I just don't think it is fair enough to go to a conclusion for the other group's work at this stage.
Josh
to be fair, the alt mode is about as aerodynamic as guidos drawings of it so
Can't really fault it for being accurate
Venksta
I got to play with it at Botcon, at the Captured Prey room. The figure's engineering blows the other group's out of the water. This thing was almost like a mini masterpiece, with all the different gears and parts. I would safely say, it was more impressive than anything Fansproject has put out, gimmick wise.
